And God SAID let there be light. What does that mean? How is sound related to light?
Scientific discoveries continues to explain the hidden meaning of Genesis
Many have pondered the meaning of the Hebrew word "Vayomer" - and he (elohim) spoke. Elohim is a plural word that reflects the intelligence and powers of nature which is an aspect of the transcendent (referred to by the tetragrammaton "YHVH"). The entire Genesis until Adam does not mention the transcendent. It only mentions the aspect of the transcendent "Elohim" that is our universe. It turns out that sound ("vayomer") propagating through early plasma caused baryon (quantum particle) acoustic oscillations which resulted in light.

The process started with a hot plasma through which sound waves propagated, creating areas of high and low density called baryon acoustic oscillations (BAO). "Eventually this plasma “froze” to create the gas that would go on to form the earliest stars and galaxies. Bubbles of galaxies tended to form in the dense regions created by BAO, and these expanded along with the universe. Therefore, the size of a galaxy bubble tells astronomers how old it was when it sent us its light."
