The Two Presidents

There was a lot of hoopla at the White House, when presidents Obama and Calderon showed up together. It wasn't normal to see and hear the two standing side by side, with identical messages.

In fact, it was anything less than normal, staged and carried out very carefully. First was the message. The new law in Arizona was bad. After the two stopped saying the very same thing, they took questions. All were waiting. There were two questions. Two. Both came from what looked like staged questions. The press wanted more questions. They got two.

Felipe Calderon got the new law exactly wrong.

It didn’t get any better. Felipe Calderon had his message down pat. At the joint session of Congress, Calderon lectured the American people on what Mexico demands. And, why not? Our president stood there and encouraged him. Calderon didn’t mention the $25 Billion coming across his border. That’s Billion, cash. Every year the millions on our side of the border send over $25 Billion cash to Mexicans for money for their families. No wonder Calderon stood there brazenly and demanded the money.

On the other hand, the same millions breaching our border, were there with their hands outstretched, asking for money for food, clothing and other sustenance. The only way possible for so much money to flow south had to come from the Americans. So, we send the money south and in return we give them what it takes to live. Calderon has a win-win situation.

This is how it works for Calderon. How’s that working for you?

It is disappointing to have the president of the U.S. betray us in this fashion. He is getting less and less available for press conferences. I can see why. There was nothing to say.

Meanwhile, car-jacking had 57,000 cars stolen annually. Arizona is second largest kidnapping in its state. Border patrol agents tell us that of one apprehended illegals, four or five get away. Where do these people live? Where do they eat? Where do they find clothing?

Calderon is generous with our money. However, Mexico does not tolerate illegal aliens into their country. They have tough laws and are strictly enforced.

There are approximately 150 out of 190 troops in our foreign countries. There is a force of 150 stationed there at our behalf. Doesn’t it seem reasonable that among those 150 troops, we could spare a few on our border?

Illegals are coming from Egypt, Pakistan, Sudan, Syria, Afghanistan Iran and Yemen. Right here from America. It is not only the domestic illegals we have to worry about.

President Obama is now talking about a new “international order”. I would like to see a new order, beginning with our border.
