Glenn Beck Not Telling All or Crediting ACORN Whistleblower Anita MonCrief

Ms. Malkin is following the facts and focused on telling the whole truth about ACORN, Obama, The New York Times and the rest of the liberal media establishment, as you should be too, Mr. Beck.

In 1676 Isaac Newton wrote to Robert Hooke: "What Descartes did was a good step. You have added much several ways.... If I have seen a little further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants."

To date, when it comes to ACORN, Glenn Beck has not shown himself either to "see a little further" or even to be fair to brave ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief.

Beck should stand on Ms. MonCrief's shoulders (figuratively speaking--she's not as tall as he is). As Samuel Taylor Coleridge write in 1828: "The dwarf sees farther than the giant, when he has the giant's shoulder to mount on."

Yes, Beck has a big megaphone, but he doesn't know the whole story and he's still allowing his preconceived notions to control him.

Wikipedia:

"Glenn Lee Beck (born February 10, 1964) is an American radio and television host, political commentator, author, and entrepreneur. He is the host of The Glenn Beck Program, a nationally-syndicated talk-radio show that airs throughout the United States on Premiere Radio Networks. Beck also hosts a self-titled television show on Fox News Channel.

"In addition to broadcasting, Beck has gained success in publishing as the author of three New York Times-bestselling books, and as the publisher of Fusion Magazine. Beck also stars in a one-man stage show that tours the US twice a year."

On March 13, 2009, Beck announced the 9/12 Project, a campaign named for nine principles and twelve values, extolled by Beck, that he says embody the spirit of the American people on the day after September 11, 2001. His twelve values: honesty, reverence, hope, thrift, humility, charity, sincerity, moderation, hard work, courage, personal responsibility, and gratitude.

How about more honesty about where you get your information, Mr. Beck?

How about some respect and gratitude for the honesty, hope, humility, charity, sincerity, hard work and courage of ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief, Mr. Beck?

How about some charity for a courageous young mother who admits her mistakes and takes personal responsibility, and dared to take on the task America sorely needed someone to take on: exposing the whole truth about ACORN?

Mr. Beck, yesterday your show focused on ACORN's 39th anniversary gala celebration (honoring prominent Democrats--Senator Chuck Schumer and Representatives Luis Gutierrez and Maxine Waters and specially recognizing Dave Beckwith, Henry Cisneros, Eric Eve, Harvey Hirschfeld, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, John Podesta and Andy Stern).

Mr. Beck, will you ever learn that ACORN is a Democrat scandal, and that ACORN has functioned as an unofficial arm of the Democrat Party for years?

Mr. Beck, you said that you got the notice of the gala from an ACORN whistleblower, but you didn't name her.

At least you DID credit marvelous Michelle Malkin's wonderful blog, www.HotAir.com, where Ms. MonCrief's article announcing the gala and providing a copy of the notice was posted, Mr. Beck.

So it is undisputed that you did not get it elsewhere, Mr. Beck.

Likewise, when you did a big segment on ACORN and the Sandlers that included plenty of the information that Ms. MonCrief had put into a four part series posted at www.anitamoncrief.blogspot.com, you didn't credit Ms. MonCrief.

Why not?

Could it be because you are not humble enough to admit your mistakes?

Or big enough to do so?

Previously Marcel Reid, the head of the dissident group seeking to take control of ACORN known as the ACORN 8, said on your show that ACORN was a wonderful organization that had been hijacked.

WRONG!

ACORN is a subversive organization founded by Wade Rathke in 1970.

Yes, there have been many well-meaning persons who joined or worked for ACORN, but those persons did not control ACORN.

Last October, Ms. MonCrief, the real ACORN whistleblower, made public that ACORN had been illicitly coordinating with the Obama presidential campaign, but the bulk of the major media was not interested and The New York Times (for which Ms. MonCrief had become a confidential source in July 2008 and had agreed to be publicly identified in October 2008) killed an ACORN/Obama expose before the last national election day, fearing that it would be "a game changer."

With the ACORN 8, that was great. ACORN has been an unofficial arm of the Democrat Party for years. Ms. MonCrief had Obama, Clinton, Kerry and Democratic National Committee donor lists (but no Republican list) with which to work.

Mr. Beck, the reason you and/or your staff noticed Ms. MonCrief's article on the 39th anniversary gala posted at HotAir is because an anonymous source provided the information to Ms. MonCrief.

More anonymous sources are likely to be willing to help get out the whole truth when they see major media really wants to tell it.

You have been telling only part of the whole truth and unwittingly helping to keep a huge part of it concealed, Mr. Beck.

As such, you have been an obstacle, not an oracle.

Ms. Malkin is following the facts and focused on telling the whole truth about ACORN, Obama, The New York Times and the rest of the liberal media establishment, as you should be too, Mr. Beck.

Notably, Gaynor & Bass prevailed in the Second Circuit in a seminal copyright infringement case, Tasini v. New York Times, against newspaper and magazine publishers and Lexis-Nexis. The U.S. Supreme Court affirmed, 7 to 2, holding that the copyrights of freelance writers had been infringed when their work was put online without permission or compensation.

Gaynor currently contributes regularly to www.MichNews.com, www.RenewAmerica.com, www.WebCommentary.com, www.PostChronicle.com and www.therealitycheck.org and has contributed to many other websites. He has written extensively on political and religious issues, notably the Terry Schiavo case, the Duke "no rape" case, ACORN and canon law, and appeared as a guest on television and radio. He was acknowledged in Until Proven Innocent, by Stuart Taylor and KC Johnson, and Culture of Corruption, by Michelle Malkin. He appeared on "Your World With Cavuto" to promote an eBay boycott that he initiated and "The World Over With Raymond Arroyo" (EWTN) to discuss the legal implications of the Schiavo case. On October 22, 2008, Gaynor was the first to report that The New York Times had killed an Obama/ACORN expose on which a Times reporter had been working with ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief.
