Americans: Focus on Obama, Not Obama Appointees

The problem is not that Obama was fooled by appointees, but that Obama fooled most of the voters last year.

It's wonderful to expose the outrageousness of appointees of President Obama, especially if it prompts people to seek to discover what kind of person Obama really is, but it is critically important that Obama himself be exposed and reporting on appointees does not distract attention away from Obama himself.

The problem is not that Obama was fooled by appointees, but that Obama fooled most of the voters last year.

The Obama myth must be exploded to stop Obama from fundamentally changing America to suit his fellow radicals.

If presidential candidate Obama had been thoroughly scrutinized instead of strongly supported by the liberal mainstream media, he would not have been elected and empowered to appoint what Michelle Malkin referred to in the subtitle of her best-selling Culture of Corruption as "His Team of Tax Cheats, Crooks, and Cronies."

Ms. Malkin gets it: the full subtitle is "Obama and His Team of Tax Cheats, Crooks, and Cronies."

Chapter 8 covers "the attempt by the New York Times to stifle the growing controversy over [ACORN's] vast, interlocking network--and the Obama campaign's involvement in it" and condemns "the enormity and significance of ACORN's coordinated political corruption," ACORN as "a criminal enterprise" and the silence of both the Obama White House and ACORN.

In the last presidential debate, Obama was the one lying...about his relationship to ACORN.

Obama during the last presidential debate:

"...with respect to ACORN, ACORN is a community organization. Apparently what they've done is they were paying people to go out and register folks, and apparently some of the people who were out there didn't really register people, they just filled out a bunch of names.

"It had nothing to do with us. We were not involved. The only involvement I've had with ACORN was I represented them alongside the U.S. Justice Department in making Illinois implement a motor voter law that helped people get registered at DMVs.

"Now, the reason I think that it's important to just get these facts out is because the allegation that Senator McCain has continually made is that somehow my associations are troubling."

As I wrote last October:

"Obama is right...about the importance of facts.

"McCain is right...about Obama having troubling associations. (More right than he knows.)

"Obama's statement--'My only involvement I've had with ACORN was I represented them alongside the U.S. Justice Department in making Illinois implement a motor voter law that helped people get registered at DMVs.'--is a lie, not a fact.

"Yes, Obama represented ACORN in that lawsuit and the Clinton Justice Department predictably sided with ACORN.

"But that was NOT Obama's only involvement with ACORN.

"ACORN is the organization with which Obama has been associated throughout his adult life, as organizer, trainer, lawyer, funder and political beneficiary...and Obama's Achilles heel."

Exposing Obama's team should reflect badly on Obama and must not be allowed to deflect attention away from Obama.

Last October 22, 2009, I reported that New York Times national correspondent Stephanie Strom had canceled a meeting with ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief and explained that New York Times policy was not to publish what might be a game changing article close to the election.

In the same article, I quoted a highly newsworthy email to me from Ms. MonCrief stating: "I do have a lot of internal docs for ACORN and Project Vote. I took a call from the Obama campaign while working there and was privy to a meeting where information between the two camps was discussed. I was told by PV that we were working with them and that I was to de-dupe the Obama 2nd Quarter list and get to work contacting donors. We also received help from the DNC, Clinton and Kerry (in 2004). I will take a polygraph and turn over what I have. I am in DC. Obama's camp was contacted by the NYT about the documents and they claim that PV got it online from published document and more questions led to a screaming match between the reporter and the campaign. Two days after that PV began contacting old references and friends in an effort to discredit me. That's why I agreed to the polygraph because I am not lying, they are.”

The liberal media establishment focused the same amount of attention on that important information that it did on the Jones story until he resigned: none.

In his Labor Day 2009 address President Obama said that "it's time to do what's right for America's working families and put aside partisanship, stop saying things that aren't true...."

But it was President Obama who lied and cheated his way to the White House, with the connivance of the liberal mainstream media.

The resignation of former "Green Jobs" "czar Anthony "Van" Jones over the Labor Day weekend came as a great surprise to people who get their news from the liberal mainstream media, because the liberal mainstream media avoided reporting on the controversy over Jones.

Jones joined Obama's white grandmother and Rev. Jeremiah A. "God damn America" Wright under his bus as Obama moved on.

Fox News, September 7, 2009:

"Americans who rely on the network broadcasts or the nation's top newspapers for their news may have just learned about the weekend resignation of President Obama's 'green jobs czar' or the firestorm of controversy that was set off weeks ago by the revelation of his past provocative statements.

"Most of the major news outlets, like The New York Times, The Washington Post and CBS ignored the swelling heat surrounding former White House environmental adviser Van Jones and the videos surfacing of his controversial statements.

"For weeks, conservative media led by FOX News commentator Glenn Beck has been criticizing Jones, a former self-avowed Marxist and anarchist, for his remarks and radical views, including his February denunciation of Republicans as 'assholes' -- a statement that came to light on Wednesday.

"Jones issued two apologies last week -- for his statement on Republicans and for signing a petition that suggested the U.S. government was involved in the Sept 11. terrorist attacks -- and the White House responded to the growing controversy on Friday. Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs said Jones continued to work in the administration and asserted that the president didn't agree with his controversial statements."

Beck rightly credited the American people for the Jones resignation.

Beck: "The American people stood up and demanded answers. Instead of providing them, the Administration had Jones resign under cover of darkness. I continue to be amazed by the power of everyday Americans to initiate change in our government through honest questioning, and judging by the other radicals in the administration, I expect that questioning to continue for the foreseeable future."

That's a reasonable expectation!

Beck astutely added: "...the media didn't report was that Michelle Obama is a big fan of Van Jones. What does that mean? I don't know. Is she radical like Van Jones? Is the president a radical like Van Jones? More importantly, if you look at the language of Robert Gibbs, the White House doesn't endorse these things. The president does not endorse Jones' past statements or actions. Well, this is a far cry from rejecting those things. Communism, radicalism, black nationalism, racism, 9/11 Truthers. That's not something you just tolerate or don't endorse. Those are things that any president of the United States needs to reject! America, this is not a victory. This is a diversion. I'm not going to play the game because it ain't about me and Van Jones. That's what they want to make it, but it is not. This is about taking Obama at his word: Judge me by the people I surround myself with."

Beck has been boldly going where other had not dared to go, but, unfortunately, Beck played "the game" in doing it.

Taking Obama at his word is precisely what Obama wants and a huge mistake.

Obama would much rather have scrutiny of "the people [he] surround[s] himself with" than scrutiny of himself.

As long as only Obama's policies are disputed, he is succeeding in fooling people.

In his resignation statement, Jones was unapologetic in the ignoble tradition of Communist Alger Hiss.

Jones predictably followed Obama's example, posing as a good man wrongly criticized.

Jones: "On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me. They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide."

It's called projection!

The Obama administration did not dispute Jones in thanking him for his service.

Presidential spokesman Robert Gibbs: "... Van Jones decided...that the agenda of this president was bigger than any one individual. The president thanks Van Jones for his service in the first eight months helping to coordinate renewable energy jobs and lay the foundation for our future economic problem…The president accepted his resignation, but Van Jones as he said in his statement...was going to get in the way of the President.”

Jones had gotten "in the way" because his radicalism was becoming generally known.

Unfortunately, Obama's history is not yet generally well known, so Jones dutifully got out of the way so that Obama could get away.

The liberal media won't do the job, so it's up to Fox News, talk radio and bloggers. They exposed the truth about Jones and they can do the same about Obama himself.
