Donald Trump's Terrific Triumph over Team Clinton, the Mainstream Media and the Bipartisan Establishment

Team Clinton and the liberal media establishment had made support for Trump appear sexist, racist, misogynistic and dangerous, so some Trump supporters protected themselves from abuse and the liberal media establishment thought they had been brainwashed or at least cowed.

Yesterday the God who works in mysterious ways blessed America greatly.

Donald Trump is the President Elect of the United States of America.

Ohio is again God's country and it is still true that no Republican presidential candidate has won without winning Ohio.

It was a triumph for the ages.

America was on the brink and needed fundamental change, not more of the same.

A bombastic blue collar billionaire born in New York City boldly answered the call to try to make America great again and invested tens of millions of dollars to do it.

He did not let his imperfections stop him.

The man never held office, but he knows things that others don't realize (or won't admit).

The man who knew that Brexit (British Exit from the European Union) would win despite the polls and the British political establishment realized he could become President.

A decisive number of his supporters smartly relied on the secret ballot and kept their true support secret from pollsters.

Team Clinton and the liberal media establishment had made support for Trump appear sexist, racist, misogynistic and dangerous, so some Trump supporters protected themselves from abuse and the liberal media establishment thought they had been brainwashed or at least cowed.

WRONG!

Last month, in "Donald Trump Must Beat the Media as Well as Hillary Clinton to Become President"(www.webcommentary.com/php/ShowArticle.php?id=gaynorm&date=161017), I explained:

"Next month we will learn whether Donald Trump will be elected President.

"To do so, Trump must overcome media bias as well as Team Clinton.

"To do that, Trump must discredit the media as well as Team Clinton.

"It is a daunting task that Trump has undertaken.

"The media includes ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC and Univision as well as The New York Times, the Washington Post and nearly all the other prominent newspapers.

"They have been doing their worst to discredit Trump.

"Fox News is not really pro-Trump, as Megyn Kelly, Shepard Smith and others demonstrate regularly, but it is much more fair and balanced than other media outlets.

"Trump has been advised to ignore the media.

"It's absurd advice.

"As I explained in 'To Become President, Donald Trump Should Follow Newt Gingrich's Feisty Example and Attack Media Bias, But NOT All His Advice' (www.webcommentary.com/php/ShowArticle.php?id=gaynorm&date=161003):

'...Trump is also running against mainstream media bias and the bipartisan establishment that loathes the thought of an outsider like Trump becoming President.

'Dealing with them is Trump's biggest challenge, because they want to demonize him and be ignored in the process.'

'...telling Trump to disregard character assassination attempts is asking him to be less than candid with the American people and untrue to himself.

'Not going to happen!'

"Fortunately, it's NOT happening, and the ballot is still secret, so Trump still has a chance to win."

Trump choose not to ignore the media and won.

As I wrote in "Donald Trump Must Continue to Counterattack Liberal Media Bias, Not Ignore It" (www.webcommentary.com/php/ShowArticle.php?id=gaynorm&date=160823):

"Whether or not well-meaning, those person saying that Trump should give liberal media bias a pass pose a clear and present danger to making America great again.

"These recent tweets by Trump show that Trump is not accepting the advice not to attack there biased liberal media:

1. 'Some day, when things calm down, I'll tell the real story of @JoeNBC and his very insecure long-time girlfriend, @morningmika. Two clowns!'

2. 'Tried watching low-rated @Morning_Joe this morning, unwatchable! @morningmika is off the wall, a neurotic and not very bright mess!'

"Trump became the 2016 Republican presidential nominee by being authentic and counterattacking.

"The liberal media establishment wants its bias to be accepted.

"Trump has smartly refused and needs to continue to refuse, despite some well-meaning advice to focus exclusively on attacking 2016 Democrat presidential nominee and not taking the bait to highlight distractions.

"Counterattacking liberal media bias is essential to victory, not a whimsical frolic best left undone."

Kudos to Trump supporters Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham for standing strong and being right instead of wrong.

The Florida exit polls showed Hillary Clinton winning by 2% and there was gloom among Trump supporters who knew.

They should have remembered that in 2000 the Florida exit polls showed that Gore would beat Bush.

That year CBS falsely reported that Gore won Florida.

That depressed the Panhandle vote, where the polls closed an hour later than polls in the rest of the state, and led to hanging chads and litigation that ended up at the United States Supreme Court.

Trump campaign manager Kelly Anne Conway calls those quiet Trump voters "undercover."

That's better than calling them "shy."

The pollsters assumed too much.

Trump supporters are smart and God answers prayers.
