Twas the night before Christmas and Obama was down

His face it was somber like a sad little clown.

Recent events of the last month were a blur,

Since the whooping received on the second November.

The Tea Party was not nestled all snug in their beds,

Oh to the dismay of the liberal talking heads.

The fight for our country was not quite over

The battles ahead, they kept all quite sober.

Democrats they'd been tossed in hordes and in droves

No unfettered access they had to the fed’s treasure troves.

The economy stank and had gotten no better,

Despite following liberal tenants right down to the letter.

Queen Nancy she sat, and without a clue in her head,

She thought that her reign was not quite yet dead.

Her and her fellows act like they have nothing to fear,

Despite the election and the results that were clear.

It was a fluke or a crock the left claims and does bay,

But the people had turned back from the liberal ways.

Angry were the masses with the Washington play

At every step taken they shout nay, nay and NAY!

“Now spend more! Now tax more! Now increase those rates!

Give us our money!” The liberals thought it was great!

To the top of the Capitol! They shouted and balled!

“NOW GIVE US IT, GIVE US IT, GIVE US IT ALL!”

The left told us Bush's cuts serviced only the rich

Oh how loudly and cruelly they did meanly so bitch.

It had been a claim that was taken as faith,

And liberals thought with it that their power was safe.

But now left stuck in a most terrible bind

Middleclass tax cuts the left mysteriously did find.

Despite what had been said and they hoped you believed,

They were all set to expire on this New Year's Eve.

But in a panic Obama, he set to a deal

With Republicans he put in motion the wheel.

To raise taxes now would be felt swift and so firm

For it would ensure Obama not more than one term.

Deals now are made and pork added to stew

Not a care of what more debt means unto me and to you.

Spending and spending, gifts placed under the tree

A laughable caricature that is plan is to see.

People paid not to work, to slough and to lay?

That was the deal that Republicans made.

And Obama he grinned as he sought to belay,

The failure of socialism for just one more day.

He did not believe that the “rich” should be served,

In two years he hoped they’d get what they “deserved”.

Sure Pelosi she cried and pitched a big fit,

But who was she? In Speaker’s chair she no longer did sit!

Still so much damage to be undone it is true,

But good news is that America was never too blue.

People had fallen for some myths and some lies

But a few years of liberalism opened their eyes.

But don’t let the left fool you they’re still quite alive

Buzzing like bees around and angry kicked hive.

Obama he smiled and called as he flew to Hawaii,

"Obamacare’s still coming and I’ll get you my PRETTY!"
