Lulled By The Liars Of Defeatism

A prayer to our Lord God Almighty is the best gift you could give a U.S. Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Marine and all others deployed in harm's way. When you read this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for all our troops.

Prayer: God, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen and Amen.

Unfortunately, the war on terror is practically innocuous to the average Jane and Joe.The war is almost invisible to them; their minds are elsewhere. They are trying to raise their families. They get up every morning to go to work.

On the other hand, when evening comes, they are too busy watching Dancing with the Stars or American Idol to take notice of what is going on about them. It seems indeed that they don't really care.

They make sure that they are hip with pop culture instead of paying attention to politics. They are too lazy to be proactive regarding their future and its effects on generations to come - the future that includes their children and their grandchildren as well as that of yours and mine.

The typical, quasi-liberal citizen can definitely give you the skinny on Paris Hilton, Snoop Dogg, and the absence of  Britney Spears' underwear. Yes, this kind of news is really significant. It most definitely will prepare us for future Islamic fascists' terrorist attacks on U.S. soil. Terrorist sleeper cells are hiding in our country. Might this have had something to do with far left socialist Democrats being voted back into office?

President Bush will not be in office to protect America much longer. The left will remove the Patriot Act and all the other safeguards he has put into place. They will lie and tell you that your freedoms have been eroded. They will remove our safety nets, one by one.

During World War II, over 85 million Americans had invested in war bonds, a number unmatched by any other country. People of that era felt pride in what they were doing. They were active participants in fighting the evils of the time. Now they simply deny that evil is evil.

Since 9/11 we have not witnessed another attack on our homeland. Most people are willfully disconnected when it comes to the war on terror. However, if we want to survive what lies ahead, we need to come to grips with reality.

Other than our troops and their families, the American public has not sacrificed one thing since we began fighting the war on terror. There was never any food or gas rationing. There was no compulsory military draft. There was no asking our citizens to give blood or to help fund the war by purchasing war bonds. Why should a self-centered American public take the war on terror seriously? We have not been inconvenienced in any way. So, a bunch of people died on the East Coast; too many these days think we "had it coming..."

Complaining and moaning about Iraq has become a full-time frontal attack by the progressive elite "drive-by" media, who have become armchair generals.

Today's heroes are the brave men and woman serving in Iraq and other global hot spots. They are willing to lay down their lives so others may live. Every day America's finest exhibit enormous courage. Our troops come from patriotic families who believe in God and country. They joined to willingly serve their country. We have the best troops in the world. America can be proud.

However, for well over five contentious years, there has been a constant and relentless political strategy waged against our troops. Concurrently, the same methodical attack has been employed against their Commander-In Chief.

The Blue Star and the Gold Star Mothers are a non-political organization who now have, or have had, children serving in the military. Nevertheless, they are fed up listening to the likes of Congressmen John Murtha, Charles Rangel, and Senator John Kerry. The demagoguery these legislators have shown has become totally transparent to families with loved ones serving in the armed forces.

The secular media has undermined and subverted our allegiance to do what is correct in Iraq. What they are doing could be considered treasonous. The New York Times continuously leaks classified information when it can obtain it.

The daily, brutal sectarian killings in Iraq are, in part, encouraged by those who do not want Iraq to succeed. Much of what is going wrong in Iraq is caused by those who continue to politicize the war.

The greater part of the mayhem taking place in Iraq is caused by troublemakers funded from outside the country. Much more progress is needed to help this fledgling democracy take care of itself.  "I can tell you that by next June that our forces will be ready." (Prime Minister Nouri al Maliki of Iraq)

President Bush said that there will be no pulling of U.S. troops out of Iraq before the mission is complete.  A honorable leader keeps his word. What we are doing in Iraq is correct and has been from the from the begining.

War, unfortunately, is necessary to maintain peace in the world. This was historically reiterated when we were attacked on September 11, 2001. We're beholden to hold this ground given to us by our forefathers. There are voices coming from both the right and left telling us what we should think about Iraq. They sound callous. Their hearts have waxed cold to the human cries coming from the Iraqi people. These political pundits want to shake dust off their shoes and walk away from our responsibilities.

The attacks from the lying left and, in some cases, the ultra right, have contributed to the reason why many Americans are losing their will to win in Iraq and, ultimately, the War on Terror.

Our troops do not complain about their mission; it's always others who seem to have negative things to say. Radical Islamic Jihadist terrorists exists. However, in the distorted minds of the far left such as Michael Moore, George Clooney, Danny DeVito, Rosie O'Donnell, they are "misunderstood."  Their answer is to sit down and "do lunch" with beheading murderers.

Europe is overrun with radical Islam. They will make their presence known in America if we continue to vote the enemies amongst us into office. The enemies within the United States contribute nothing but ill will and contentiousness. Keep alert and listen to their vitriolic tone. Understand what and who they are. Their words express extreme bitterness.

They display malicious unruly tempers. They speak glib and extremely sarcastic rhetoric. They dismiss voices of reason such as Senator Joseph Lieberman. Make no mistake: Lieberman is very liberal, except when it comes to the consequences of leaving Iraq prematurely.

If Americans don't understand it by now, they had better educate themselves fast. Iraq must not be lost by those who want to cut and run. There is no safety in being an isolationist thinker or contemplating having pacifist girly talks with deadly terrorists.

Excepts from U.S. News & World Report:

Take a good look at the past. For within the past, often, we can see the future. Now is not the time to return history to its old rhythms of pre-9/11. Bush might not be the conservative's dream when it comes to being tight fisted fiscally, but he does have the War on Terror correct.

America, open your eyes. Embrace the heroes of our time. They march to a song of victory.  It's very disconcerting that some Americans are confused. On election day they voted without wisdom. They allowed themselves to be lulled by the liars of defeatism. We can not afford to let that happen again.
