Fires Politicized "California Dreaming"

"California Dreaming" and fires have lived side by side since the "The Grapes of Wrath." It is absolutely amazing how Senator Harry Reid would manage to tie global warming to the fires in California. Well, like Gump would say "Stupid is as stupid does."

Reid's words prove that there's not one thing that this partisan hack won't politicize. The Democrat senator has not one admirable character trait to emulate, unless you're fond of desert rats. When it comes to being crude and asinine, dirty Harry and his ilk never disappoint his far left cronies, who sound just like him. They are, at best, disingenuous on any given subject.

Reid was quoted during a press conference: “As you know, one reason that we have the fires burning in Southern California is global warming. One reason the Colorado Basin is going dry is because of global warming." Indeed, how absurd.

Too many people don't know the history of our great nation including the prolonged drought that created the Dust Bowl days. Throughout the 1930's, drought and dry winds damaged, parched, and literally blew away the topsoil. Dust storms in the Great Plains, including, Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas, became an agricultural nightmare. Was that global warming? The answer is no. Al Gore was born March 31, 1948. He wasn't around to try to panic the entire world with his global warming theories.

The liberal biased media is once again using its propaganda machinery during this overwhelming tragedy in California by throwing global warming into the mix while reporting on the fires that are still burning.

Anyone who has lived in California knows that the winds are part and parcel of climate for aeons of time. However, members of the Democrat party want to blame President Bush for everything. They need a new shtick. Hopefully, they will pay at the election booth. Americans should be outraged and fed up by now with those who continually attack the president.

Californians are remarkably resilient people. Although we do not have major fires and earthquakes continuously, we do live with these threats.

Southern California was a desert that became a garden of lush beauty. Every year the Santa Ana winds kick up. Californians take advantage of the winds by flying a kite, air ballooning and breathing in the clean air.

When we hear educated fools on the left spouting off and saying unkind remarks in the vein of "being polite to the president" when he visits our state, it is time for us to get mad and pick up the phone and tell Lt. Gov. John Garamendi where to get off. Garamendi said he's "got some doubt about the value of President Bush coming out here" and "I just hope he does not come."

Garamendi is another far leftist loon who needs to apologize for his remarks. His lacks courtesy and decorum. Who keeps reelecting these same buffoons into office?

We certainly don't need Senator Barbara Boxer telling us about the National Guard. They are doing their jobs. Can you imagine? Barbara Boxer blames the wildfires on Iraq.

Our Californian legislators have absolutely no respect for the man who was twice elected to the highest office in the land. When will the progressives understand that they are major contributors to the many problems we face in the state of California? Their liberal policies are chocking the Golden State.

President G. W. Brush is the Commander-In-Chief of our awesome troops and protector of our country's national security. It is unfortunate that the man who gets up every day to do the job has to put up with fools and their sarcastic bitter remarks.

Another California Democrat, Rep. Pete Stark, accused the president of being amused while watching our troops getting their heads blown off in Iraq. He reluctantly gave the president a half baked apology after his embarrassed colleagues forced him to do so. YouTube Rep Peter Stark (D-CA) Outrageous Remarks on House Floor

Patriots who support the troops do not conduct themselves as Pete Stark. Once more we see the ugly side of Democrats. They become abusive, and angrily try to seize more political power. They do so at anyone's expense. Even our troops are not sacrosanct from the noxious babblings of the far left.

Unfortunately, hundreds of thousands have been displaced from their homes because of wildfires that may have been started by the hands of arsonists.

Excerpts from Associated Press:

"Deadly Wildfires Force Mass Evacuations in Southern California

"Wildfires blown by fierce desert winds reduced scores of Southern California homes to ashes, forced hundreds of thousands of people to flee and laid a hellish, spidery pattern of luminous orange over the drought-stricken region.

"One person was reported killed; at least 16 firefighters and 25 others were reported injured since the blazes began Sunday. At least 655 homes burned — about 130 in one mountain area alone — and 168 businesses and other structures were destroyed. Thousands of other buildings were threatened by more than a dozen blazes covering at least 240,000 acres, the equivalent of 374 square miles.

"Early Tuesday morning, President Bush followed in California Governor Schwarzenegger's steps, declaring a state of emergency in the seven counties and said the federal government would give the state everything it needs to deal with the disaster.

"'The sky was just red. Everywhere I looked was red, glowing. Law enforcement came barreling in with police cars with loudspeakers telling everyone to get out now,' said Ronnie Leigh, 55, who fled her home at a mobile home park as smoke darkened the sky over the nearby ridge line.

"Firefighters — who lost valuable time trying to persuade stubborn homeowners to leave — were almost completely overwhelmed as gale-force winds gusting to 70 mph scattered embers on the dry brush. California officials pleaded for help from fire departments in other states.

"A pair of wildfires consumed 128 homes in the Lake Arrowhead mountain resort area in the San Bernardino National Forest east of Los Angeles, authorities said.

"At least 14 fires were burning in Southern California, said Patti Roberts, a spokeswoman for the Governor's Office of Emergency Services.

"From San Diego to Malibu, stretching more than 150 miles of coastline, some 500,000 people were warned to leave their homes, the Los Angeles Times reported early Tuesday. A majority of the people told to flee were in San Diego County, including in the coastal city of Del Mar. Earlier reports had placed the number of evacuees closer to 300,000." Full Article

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has been telling reporters that there is no bad news, and to stop looking for negative press to report. Just as we have witness during the past six plus years, we are again having to put up with the blame Bush politicking in our communities. What is insulting is that the Democrats can't seen to control themselves long enough to allow Californians to grieve over their loss.

A great big enthusiastic thank you to all the Californians who are helping each other. We should all pray and continue to offer one another emotional support. Californians will maintain their dreams. Help has been on the way ever since this ordeal began. Thank you President Bush for working hand in hand with Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and local officials. Thank God for our heroic firefighters and first responders.
