The “Invisible” Tea Party

The “Invisible” (and presumably dead) Tea Party movement stands in plain sight, yet unseen by the blindest of all – the “progressives” thrust to foul their own (and our) nest. I suggest the Tea Party movement’s Moral Compass consists of three sets of three priorities that can be identified in applying the philosophical, political and religious priorities of a people and those they elect to rule them - how we Think, Act and Operate.

How do we think?

Beauty, Ethics and Logic (The equally important normative sciences of Philosophy applied in this order idealize a world view that has succeeded in our Constitutional Republic in spite of the “progressive” movement.) Seek Beauty first, then Ethics will be obvious and Logic will protect it.

Tea Partiers knowingly or unknowingly strive for this “BEL” order. Other orders of world view, e.g., LEB tend to produce a different, ugly and often deadly world view.

How do we act?

Subsidiarity, Solidarity and Chaos (First we take personal responsibility, strive for the unity of “e pluribus unum” and enjoy unexpected revelations, relationships and challenges in the chaos of unexpected opportunity.)

Tea Partiers understand this order of action – always done in combination and blessed with the discernment and courage to sort beauty from ugliness in the chaos of every day life. These succeed only in an environment that has unpredictable windows to ideas and associations and the freedom to rise above one’s station in life - even to fail and try again. Personal responsibility far exceeds entitlement. It is most fruitful where the means to act it out is available to all.

How do we operate?

High-Touch, High-Tech and High-Finance (Intuition, Reason and Enablement) complete the necessary threesome and order of values. One of these equally important elements will dominate the others with predictable results.

No one Point is more important than the others. Logic, Solidarity and Finance would seem to be more important than say Beauty, Subsidiarity or High Touch. They tend to build on one another - for good or evil. The key is their priorities in human discourse as shown above. The principles of Subsidiarity and Solidarity are keys to societal success if applied together. High-Finance, rather than dominating the life of the nation and its people, especially through buying of souls, dishonest speculations and debt-based tribute, must again assume its position as the willing servant of all… including entrepreneurs, savers and investors.

Rioters in the streets scream for anarchy of any kind to replace “the evils of capitalism.” Capital is only evil when its purpose is perverted – when money is loved above things of substance and meaning.

The true definition of Capitalism is in High-Finance’s role as the servant of vision, courage, ideas, savings, philanthropy, investment and commerce! The love of money as a vehicle for profit or control over more money will always be the root of all evil.

It would be great if the non-Sorosian OWS can figure it out – and the media and subjugated union members understand the Tea Party-aided blowouts in Virginia, North Carolina and Wisconsin! If your moral compass needle is spinning, you may be near a Tea Partier!

Notes:

I made an interesting discovery in working out this "natural" order for why some things work for the benefit of most, others to universal detriment. If you take those nine points and reverse their order, it pretty much defines the totalitarian mindset - from the domination of finance to the extinction of beauty.

Is our world upside down? Maybe we will understand what needs to be righted and why the Tea Party movement is on the right track. It'll never be perfect, but try we must!
