Will Democrats Question Obama's Birth Certificate?

Democrats and their news media allies have made great sport of those who question Barack Hussein Obama’s citizenship. Despite Hawaiian officials steadfast refusal to release any official confirmation of his birth in Hawaii, the Left merely accepts his claim, even if it runs contrary to Obama's own claims dating to the 1990s that he was Kenyan born. Will all this change and Democrats take a sudden serious interest in Obama's constitutional qualifications as they begin to realize they cannot win in November with Obama?

Democrats and their news media allies have made great sport of those who question Barack Hussein Obama’s citizenship. Despite Hawaiian officials steadfast refusal to release any official confirmation of his birth in Hawaii, the Left merely accepts his claim, even if it runs contrary to his claims dating to the 1990s that he was Kenyan born.

The Left pokes fun at “birthers” and others who view with concern the mountain of information about Obama’s past that is off-limits to the public. Apparently, the Left is content to just accept his word without proof.

Yet there are a host of serious questions about Obama’s past that could contribute to determining his constitutional eligibility. He continues to block any release of his applications or transcripts from Occidental College, Columbia University, and Harvard Law School. He refuses to allow release of his passport records and his citizenship/name/adoption records when he became Barry Soetoro, a citizen of Indonesia. He will not reveal whether he ever reapplied for US citizenship upon leaving Indonesia and achieving age 18.

These are not idle questions about insignificant information. Every one of these documents contributes to the question of his constitutional eligibility to hold the office of President of the United States.

Can there be any doubt that if Mitt Romney, John McCain or George Bush had an aggregate of similar questions about their past that news media would be all over any attempt to hide even one aspect of their past? It would be laughable to maintain such missing information wouldn’t be headlined on front pages and lead stories of the dominant news media. In fact, just one of those questions would be enough to create a media feeding frenzy focused on the GOP candidate.

Our country is bearing the fruit of nearly four years of a news-media shielded President who has demonstrated he is completely naive, self-centered, ill-prepared, and incompetent to perform the duties of his office.

Openly hostile to free market capitalism (though quite comfortable with his own brand of crony-capitalism), this neophyte President who has never held a meaningful job in private industry has presided over a massive increase in regulations that stymie business and entrepreneurship at every turn. He then has the audacity to claim “capitalism doesn’t work.”

Campaigning in 2008, Obama predicted he would have only one term if he failed to lower unemployment (7.8% in January 2009; 8.2% in May 2012). In a misguided effort to buy jobs by bankrupting our nation, literally trillions of dollars have foolishly been spent (money we do not have) to try to lower unemployment rates. The result has been skyrocketing unemployment to above 10% with a gradual decline in reported numbers to the current 8.2%, much of that decline not coming from more jobs, but as a consequence of those who simply gave up looking for a job (when those who gave up are counted, the true unemployment rate is closer to 12% or more).

Obama has become the most divisive President in modern times. He routinely creates racial tension when it suits his purposes. He demonizes opponents as anti-women. He panders to Hispanics by opposing border security. He supports those who rail against the “1%” (top tier of the wealthy, as if just having such wealth proves it was obtained illegitimately). He castigates patriotic Americans who support tea party rallies that focus on restoring our Constitutional Republic, governing within a balanced budget, saving future generations from being swamped in debt to satisfy current public greed, and recognizing the importance of a free market system that maximizes individual opportunity.

Indeed, the much-demonized tea party movement is a push-back response to the “entitlement” generations that have grown up since Lyndon Johnson’s ill-conceived “Great Society” introduced a frenzy of ever more costly social spending programs. Those programs have grown to massive proportions today, accounting for most of the unconstitutional “entitlement” funding that substantially contributes to current deficits.

No better sign of the economic morass this president has presided over is a doubling of those who are taking food stamps. This is a clear indication that Obama has become not just the “food stamp president”, he has become the “poverty president” as he increases unemployment, drives more people onto the welfare rolls, and doubles those requiring food stamps.

While they publicly claim the opposite, Wisconsin’s recall failure is a strong warning to Democrats that their candidate may be headed for an historic massive repudiation in November, taking a large portion of House and Senate Democrats to defeat with him.

The only polling data that suggests Obama can win is not based on realistic data; rather, it relies on skewed samples of registered voters and not “likely voters” (based on prior voting habits). Given an evident lack of enthusiasm among his own party members, Obama’s likely re-election support is dismal and predicts a massive rout in November.

As a looming electoral disaster becomes entrenched and more certain, will Democrats wake from their delusional state and begin to see the wisdom of questioning Obama’s hidden past? Will Democrats show a sudden interest in unreleased information? Will “leaks” of key documents begin to cast even greater doubt on Obama’s legitimacy to hold the office of President?

Such leaks would be all that is necessary for a sudden change of heart among those who now ridicule “birthers.” If it is to happen, it must be done before the Democratic Convention in the first week of September for Obama to be replaced by a more viable candidate. Even if the desire is there, the mechanics may not as Obama has secured sufficient delegates for his renomination.

It will be fascinating to watch Democrats, Progressives, and other Marxist-Socialists squirm and twitch as November’s doomsday inches ever closer.

It’s going to be an interesting five months to election day.

Biography - Bob Webster

Author of "Looking Out the Window", an evidence-based examination of the "climate change" issue, Bob Webster, is a 12th-generation descendent of both the Darte family (Connecticut, 1630s) and the Webster family (Massachusetts, 1630s). He is a descendant of Daniel Webster's father, Revolutionary War patriot Ebenezer Webster, who served with General Washington. Bob has always had a strong interest in early American history, our Constitution, U.S. politics, and law. Politically he is a constitutional republican with objectivist and libertarian roots. He has faith in the ultimate triumph of truth and reason over deception and emotion. He is a strong believer in our Constitution as written and views the abandonment of constitutional restraint by the regressive Progressive movement as a great danger to our Republic. His favorite novel is Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand and believes it should be required reading for all high school students so they can appreciate the cost of tolerating the growth of unconstitutional crushingly powerful central government. He strongly believes, as our Constitution enshrines, that the interests of the individual should be held superior to the interests of the state.

A lifelong interest in meteorology and climatology spurred his strong interest in science. Bob earned his degree in Mathematics at Virginia Tech, graduating in 1964.
