NRSC Chutzpah

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) continues to solicit donations from conservatives despite it's ongoing campaign to marginalize conservative Republicans, as the primary campaign in Mississippi clearly demonstrated. Enough is enough. In response to an email pitch for campaign donations, the NRSC

A recent email pitch for contributions to the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) began:

We’re fed up, how about you?

Six in 10 Americans are unhappy with the economy; 70% believe America is heading in the wrong direction; and over 80% are angry with the nation’s political system. President Obama’s approval rating has hit a new all-time low of 40% and only 14% of Americans approve of the job being done by Harry Reid’s Senate.

You deserve better.

Yes, we're fed up. And we do deserve better.

The problem is, we’re fed up with the anemic Republican Party too!

The GOP has left us.

The GOP evidently believes the Tea Party movement is more dangerous than the Marxist-Democrat Party.

We send money to good conservative primary candidates and the GOP sends money (and stooges) to support their deadbeat opponents (liberal GOP members of Congress).

How are we going to cleanse the GOP of it’s Obama-supporting “moderate” knuckleheads, if the GOP counters our efforts with dirty politics and financial support to the deadbeats.

If I lived in Boehner’s district or McConnell’s state, I’d vote AGAINST them in the general election, as much as I abhor the Marxist-Democrat Party and our lunatic president. I believe it is far more important to fix the GOP so that when the GOP wins elections, it matters.

It scares us to death that the GOP may win control of the Senate and then try to compromise on the ACA (Obamacare) and not repeal it entirely. At best, we could expect no better than a “repeal and replace” strategy, which is nearly as bad.

We’ve lost faith in the GOP’s ability to clearly develop a coherent strategy to bring our federal government back under our Constitution and stop mandating things like health care that are clearly a fundamental violation of our right as free people to determine if and how we’ll handle our health care.

It is insane for hospitals and doctors to feel obligated to help people who are unwilling to help themselves.

It is more insane for the federal government to institutionalize that concept.

Yes, we are FED UP and the GOP will not get one penny of our support. Not one penny.

We will support those candidates who espouse and demonstrate their commitment to constitutional governance, sustainable fiscal policy, and free-market economics… principles that used to be mainstream Republican but are now consider “fringe” and inappropriate by the current leadership of the Republican Party.

The GOP had better get it’s house in order... and quickly... or it WILL BE replaced.

How?

We’ll just vote for Democrats until the GOP is completely irrelevant. Yes, as horrid as that seems, it is better to get the decline and fall of the USA over with than to support the weak-kneed feckless GOP that cannot even state a clear policy on how to handle our border crisis!

Had just one GOP leader stepped forward and bought 15 minutes of prime TV time to speak to the American people about our border crisis, a huge public opinion gain could have been achieved (assuming proper follow through).

What could the GOP do?

Easy.

Defund the State Department’s Foreign Aid program unless the following policy was initiated and carried out:

  1. Suspend all foreign aid to each country whose citizens are illegally entering the USA across the southern border with Mexico (suspend Mexican foreign aid for facilitating this invasion).

  2. Round up all illegal border crossers by country of origin and send them by wide-body planes back to their nation where they will be deposited at the airport.

  3. When all illegal aliens who entered in this invasion were returned, foreign aid would be resumed to those countries after the cost of the operation to round them up and return them was deducted from their foreign aid.

  4. At the first illegal border crossing of another citizen from any of these countries, the remainder of foreign aid would be terminated immediately and next year’s aid budget would be set at the current year amount less a 20% penalty. This reduction would carry forward each year until the budget were zero if illegal border crossings from that country continued. This policy would also be applied to aid to Mexico as an agent and facilitator of illegal border crossings from other countries.

See how easy that would be?

It would get huge approval from the vast majority of Americans.

But what does the GOP do?

Nothing.

It worries about it’s image with hispanic voters.

Good grief.

It is pathetic.

Biography - Bob Webster

Author of "Looking Out the Window", an evidence-based examination of the "climate change" issue, Bob Webster, is a 12th-generation descendent of both the Darte family (Connecticut, 1630s) and the Webster family (Massachusetts, 1630s). He is a descendant of Daniel Webster's father, Revolutionary War patriot Ebenezer Webster, who served with General Washington. Bob has always had a strong interest in early American history, our Constitution, U.S. politics, and law. Politically he is a constitutional republican with objectivist and libertarian roots. He has faith in the ultimate triumph of truth and reason over deception and emotion. He is a strong believer in our Constitution as written and views the abandonment of constitutional restraint by the regressive Progressive movement as a great danger to our Republic. His favorite novel is Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand and believes it should be required reading for all high school students so they can appreciate the cost of tolerating the growth of unconstitutional crushingly powerful central government. He strongly believes, as our Constitution enshrines, that the interests of the individual should be held superior to the interests of the state.

A lifelong interest in meteorology and climatology spurred his strong interest in science. Bob earned his degree in Mathematics at Virginia Tech, graduating in 1964.
