The Same Old Song And Dance

This past Monday, CBS, otherwise known as See? BS!, Al-Jazeera West, and the Corrupt Broadcasting System, proved once again that it is nothing but a shameless propaganda tool of the Democrat party, by releasing the results of a poll it rigged... uh... conducted recently showing that President Bush's popularity rating has plummeted to an all-time low of 34 percent. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/02/27/opinion/polls/main1350874.shtml"> http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/02/27/opinion/polls/main1350874.shtml

Of course, when one looks at the internals of the poll, one sees that, of the 1018 people who responded to it, only 28 percent were Republicans. 38 percent, however, were Democrats (big surprise there), and the remaining 34 percent were described as Independents.

Now, to begin with I have a problem with any political poll that doesn't identify the ideological leanings of over a third of its participants. The word Independent doesn't tell me anything about a person, other than he or she is not registered with either of the two main parties. For all I know, the vast majority of the "Independents" who took this poll are mind-numbed Communists. Unless it can be shown that this 34 percent is comprised of an equal number of left-wingers and right-wingers, I have to assume that it's made up mostly of leftists, since the people conducting the poll are leftists, and they've already picked nearly a hundred more Democrats to poll than Republicans.

I don't know about you, but I've seen gimpy cats at the vet's office that had a better chance of not being fixed than this poll, that is, if an actual poll was even conducted in this case. After all, why should I believe that the these poll numbers are anything other than a figment of some CBS employee's imagination? I mean, am I supposed to just ignore the fact that this company perpetrated one of the most outrageous journalistic frauds in American history against the subject of this very poll only weeks before the last election?

What makes the management of CBS think that anyone other than a bunch of Bush-bashing lunatics would be willing to take anything they say seriously anymore? Maybe if they did something every once in a while to show that they're willing to give conservatives a little credit for the good things they do, I could begin to consider that perhaps they're not all neo-socialist pinheads.

Unfortunately, that is not the case. They are clearly every bit as contemptuous of the right as they've always been, and this latest poll is just one more example of how incapable they are of being responsible news reporters. I don't know what these folks think they're going to gain by continuing to behave in such a blatantly biased manner, but if it's their credibility they're trying to resuscitate, I'm afraid that beating it with a stupid-stick isn't going to bring it back from the dead.

Oh sure, there may still be some non-liberals in this country who actually think CBS can be trusted, but I am not one of them, and I'll believe Bush's approval numbers are at 34 percent when Dan Rather and Walter Cronkite admit they're pompous, left-wing jackasses who never had any business calling themselves respectable newsmen.

And that's the way it is, Thursday, March 2, 2006.
