The Truth about Obama, Rebranded ACORN and Operation Occupy Wall Street

Obama was elected President in 2008 because the nature of his relationship with ACORN and the illicit connection between his presidential campaign and ACORN's Project Vote were little known and his promise of hope and change and his soft-spoken, non-threatening manner masked what he meant by "fundamental transformation."

On August 22, 2011, Judicial Watch issued an important special report titled "The Rebranding of ACORN" (www.judicialwatch.org/files/documents/2011/acornspecialreport08222011.pdf).

The 28-page report rightly concluded that (1) "[r]umors of ACORN's demise are completely false" because "ACORN lives on in the form of its affiliated organizations, such as Affordable Housing Centers of America, The Advance Group, The Black Institute, and Project Vote" and "ACORN's newly formed state organizations will continue to carry on...'ACORN's work of organizing low- and moderate-income folks"; (2) ACORN's bankruptcy papers "appear to be incomplete and/or inaccurate" and "investigators believe these papers do not account for tens of millions of dollars in ACORN funds"; (3) "Project Vote is clearly going to continue to undermine the rule of law and the integrity of elections through fraudulent voter registrations" and "has retained voter registration fraud-tainted staff," so "the scandal of 2008 is bound to be repeated in 2012"; and (4) "ACORN leaders at both the state and national levels seem to have systematically violated numerous laws, and yet, the Obama Justice Department, likely due to the president's personal and political ties to the organization, refuses to investigate."

The report focused on the rebranding of ACORN, but the key to defeating Obama is his ACORN history and lying about it.

Judicial Watch did state: "Barack Obama served as a former employee of Project Vote and has said publicly that he's 'been fighting alongside' ACORN his entire career. despite clear evidence of corrupt and criminal behavior by ACORN and its employees, the Obama Justice Department has thus far failed to take any ACORN organizations to account."

In addition, Judicial Watch cited an article of mine, "Is Project Vote Really Nonpartisan?" (http://emergingcorruption.com/2011/01/is-project-vote-really-nonpartisan/) to support this statement: "Without question Project Vote's objective is to help Barack Obama and other leftist candidates nationwide to get elected (or re-elected). ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief, a former Project Vote staffer, reported in 2008 that the organization was given a donor list from the presidential campaign of Barack Obama for fundraising efforts. Expect Project Vote to return Obama's generosity in 2012."

All true, but only part of the testimony that MonCrief has to offer.

See my " Why Obama and ACORN Fear Anita MonCrief" (October 29, 2008) (www.webcommentary.com/php/ShowArticle.php?id=gaynorm&date=081029) and MonCrief's "ACORN Zombies, Obama and Stealth Socialism" (February 9, 2011) (http://emergingcorruption.com/2011/02/acorn-zombies-obama-and-stealth-socialism/) for what the liberal mainstream media does not share with you.

Ironically, on the same day that the Judicial Watch special report was issued, US Day of Rage.com issued a public announcement titled "Planned Protests for Sept 17 OccupyWallStreet" (http://usdayofrage.org/public-announcements/118-us-day-of-rage-call-to-action-and-planned-protests-for-sept17-and-occupywall-street-usdor-ows.html).

The announcement declared in part:

"American institutions and government have been captured by oligarchs and kleptocrats, who systematically set about stealing and looting what was once a great nation.

"America can once again be a great nation, but we must take it back. NOBODY will do this for us. It will not be handled back to us by bought 'representatives'.

"Wall Street is a huge contributor to the political machine, which in turns enables Wall Street's corporate plunder of our nation. Both the Democratic and Republican parties set the bankster agenda because of the MONEY. When we speak of 'taking the MONEY out of politics', we have no choice but to focus on the sources of the MONEY.

"As a critical FIRST STEP, we call on Citizens to take the lead. Bring your friends and neighbors together to non-violently protest the tyranny of kleptocrats on Sept 17, 2011 (#Sept17)."

It's the Far Left's imitation of the Tea Party, the success of which on Election Day 2010 the Far Left desperately needs to undermine.

The cunning political strategy of the Occupy Wall Street forces is reflected in this statement: In a democracy: progressives; unions; conservatives; tea party; and unaffiliated Americans can govern and work things out. In a kleptocracy, controlled by the banksters, we cannot. We must stop their influence, their motives, and their tricks, from continuing to destroy our democratic republic, and together we can do it."

American, it's not.

It rejects the Constitution’s unchanging principles — the unalienable rights of every human being to life, liberty, and property.

It calls to mind bank robber Willie Sutton's response when he was asked why he robbed banks: "Because that's where the money is."

Obama was elected President in 2008 because the nature of his relationship with ACORN and the illicit connection between his presidential campaign and ACORN's Project Vote were little known and his promise of hope and change and his soft-spoken, non-threatening manner masked what he meant by "fundamental transformation."

Make no mistake: the 2012 presidential race is monumentally important; the winner will be either Obama or the Republican presidential nominee; the Far Left will vote for Obama while insisting that he's too moderate and thereby sow confusion; and the truth that did not become generally known in 2008 needs to become generally known in sufficient time before Election Day 2012 to permit voters to reject Obama and his political allies and to elect a President and Congress that will respect the United States Constitution and traditional American values and do what needs to be done to permit prosperity and full employment and to restore respect for the United States throughout the world.

Gaynor graduated magna cum laude, with Honors in Social Science, from Hofstra University's New College, and received his J.D. degree from St. John's Law School, where he won the American Jurisprudence Award in Evidence and served as an editor of the Law Review and the St. Thomas More Institute for Legal Research. The day after graduating, Gaynor joined the Fulton firm, where he focused on litigation and corporate law. In 1997 Gaynor and Emily Bass formed Gaynor & Bass and then conducted a general legal practice, emphasizing litigation, and represented corporations, individuals and a New York City labor union. Notably, Gaynor & Bass prevailed in the Second Circuit in a seminal copyright infringement case, Tasini v. New York Times, against newspaper and magazine publishers and Lexis-Nexis. The U.S. Supreme Court affirmed, 7 to 2, holding that the copyrights of freelance writers had been infringed when their work was put online without permission or compensation.

Gaynor currently contributes regularly to www.MichNews.com, www.RenewAmerica.com, www.WebCommentary.com, www.PostChronicle.com and www.therealitycheck.org and has contributed to many other websites. He has written extensively on political and religious issues, notably the Terry Schiavo case, the Duke "no rape" case, ACORN and canon law, and appeared as a guest on television and radio. He was acknowledged in Until Proven Innocent, by Stuart Taylor and KC Johnson, and Culture of Corruption, by Michelle Malkin. He appeared on "Your World With Cavuto" to promote an eBay boycott that he initiated and "The World Over With Raymond Arroyo" (EWTN) to discuss the legal implications of the Schiavo case. On October 22, 2008, Gaynor was the first to report that The New York Times had killed an Obama/ACORN expose on which a Times reporter had been working with ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief.
