The 9-11 Mystery of Dr. Graham and Jamal Khan Yet another piece to the 9-11 puzzle.
My friend, and fellow blogger, DFV at www.Constitutionclub.com sent me this interesting little story:
Do you like a good 9/11 mystery?
A man named Stuart Buck blogs on his website The Buck Stops Here (http://stuartbuck.blogspot.com). It is apparently a credible site (Michael Barone, Instapundit, and Jonah Goldberg vouch for it).
Two years ago, he first wrote about the mysterious case of Dr. David Graham, a dentist in Shreveport, Louisiana. Graham said that he had met three of the 9/11 highjackers a year before the attacks at a home in Shreveport. He became suspicious of them (he thought they were planning attacks on nearby Barksdale AFB) and contacted the FBI.
The man who hosted the highjackers in Shreveport was a Pakistani named Jamal Khan. In 2004, Khan pled guilty to hiding cash transfers to Pakistan, and in an unusual plea deal the government stated that nothing in this deal would absolve Khan from any future prosecution regarding the attacks of September 11.
Dr. Graham apparently met Khan in conjunction with the 9/11 conspirators and was set to testify against him at a deportation hearing sometime in 2004, following Khan's conviction on the money transfer charge. He was also trying to publish a manuscript about meeting the three men and his contacts with the FBI.
Then, Dr. Graham fell seriously ill from what his family says was poison. Shortly thereafter, Jamal Khan disappeared.
The story fell silent for a couple years until Buck's site did some more digging.
Dr. David Graham is dead.
Jamal Khan has vanished.
And the FBI claims that Graham never contacted them until after 9/11 -- except that one guy says that he knows personally that Graham talked to the FBI in 2000, and he can even tell you the specific name of the G-Man he spoke to (Agent Spoon of the Shreveport FBI office, if you must know).
So who killed Dr. David Graham? Was it Jamal Khan? Was Khan a co-conspirator of 9/11? And where is he now? How did the FBI let him get away (one comment suggests that they didn't)? Did the FBI really have prior warning of these three 9/11 conspirators? And if so, why do they deny it now...
An intriguing mystery indeed, so I did a little research.
Dr. Graham fell seriously ill two years ago and medical tests revealed possible poisoning that led to organ failure.His family is convinced that he was poisoned. At the time, Dr. Graham was attempting to publish his manuscript "The Graham Report: The true story of three 9-11 hijackers who were reported to the FBI 10 months before 9-11."
His manuscript, like holy writ, was on display at his funeral and his friends and family truly feel he was “onto something”. Reportedly, the manuscript is being safeguarded by Dr. Graham’s friend, Mike Sledge. Mr. Sledge is quoted by www.ktbs.com as stating "Certainly he was digging into some sensitive areas that may easily have caused some people some consternation”.
Little media coverage has been devoted to Dr. Graham’s death. The local news station had this snippet which is available at www.KTBS.com.

Local Terrorist Whistle-Blower Dead After Poisoning
He claimed he met three of the Sept. 11 hijackers in Shreveport a year before the attacks. Now, that man, Shreveport dentist Dr. David Graham, is dead.
His family says he was poisoned more than two years ago. At the time, Graham was trying to publish a manuscript about meeting three middle easterners in Shreveport, men he feared were plotting to bomb Barksdale Air Force Base. Graham wrote that he warned the FBI. Then after Sept. 11, he saw their pictures among the hijackers.
Before Graham was poisoned, he was supposed to testify at a deportation hearing against a Pakistani man, Jamal Khan, who hosted the men Graham believed to be the hijackers. Graham's brother, Edwin Jones, told us Wednesday night the family believes someone slipped poison into his drink, plunging him into a deadly illness.

SHREVEPORT, LA - Dr. David Graham was born in Shreveport, LA. He was born May 21, 1939 and passed away Sunday, September 17, 2006 in Shreveport, LA following a lengthy illness. Dr. Graham was 67.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at First Assembly Church, 5720 Buncomb Road, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Deacon John Milkovich and Reverend Dr. John Graham. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors…
David was a family dentist in Shreveport for 36 years, 1968 to 2004. He proudly served his country as a Captain in the United States Air Force from 1965 until 1968, including two years in the Vietnam War where he volunteered to fly by helicopter into dangerous villages to provide dental care for private citizens. In Vietnam, he often was required to care for seriously injured soldiers in addition to dental care, and received honorable discharge with Bronze Star in July of 1968. After the war he often volunteered his dental services for free care for poor families here.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Kirkland Graham and Lasca Thompson Graham, and by his brothers, Asberry Graham and James Graham…..
David's family was so pleased with his personal, dental and church friends who visited him often the last 27 months. You made his days worth living the last two years. Today David is healthy and in the joyful presence of Jesus his Savior.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to First Assembly Church, to Calvary Baptist Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.

The other part of this tale is Jamal Khan.
When Mohammad Jamal Khan pleaded guilty to trying to evade the requirement that large cash transactions be reported to banks and the government, federal prosecutors added an unusual caveat to his plea agreement: There would be no immunity from possible prosecution in the future for crimes relating to Sept. 11. The agreement adds: "The U.S. Attorney is simply not aware of the involvement by the defendant in these crimes at this time."
A very strange thing to add to a petty, white collar crime plea bargain, don’t you think?
Now of the five characters in this little 9-11 subplot, four are dead and Jamal Khan is apparently on the run.
What is interesting to me is that the FBI never disputed the possibility that Dr. Graham’s meetings and suspicions about the 9-11 hijackers were true. Or that they were hosted by Jamal Khan. They only disputed Dr. Graham’s timeline of when he actually reported the meetings to the FBI. And by adding that little tidbit to Jamal Khan’s plea bargain it appears that the FBI was very interested in Jamal Khan’s possible involvement with the planning of the 9-11 attacks.
The full story of 9-11 has yet to be told and Dr. Graham’s story is another piece of the 9-11 puzzle. But perhaps one the FBI would prefer you didn’t know about. It is likely that Dr. Graham is telling the truth. It is also likely that the FBI cannot bring itself to admit that there was yet another major warning of the impending 9-11 attacks that it failed to act on. There are careers on the line. The public’s trust is on the line. And there is a War on Terror to be fought. A minor adjustment to the timeline solves a lot of problems and embarrassments that otherwise arise with the telling of Dr. Graham’s story.
And what has happened to the apparent money launderer and gracious host to hijackers, the mysterious Pakistani Jamal Khan? Is he in the Witness Protection Program? Did the CIA quietly ship him off for “questioning”? Did he really skip the country and go undergound? And, if so, why did the FBI let this man covered with the bloody fingerprints of 9-11 slip away?
Stuart Buck put it this way. “…very intriguing. There may not be anything to the story, of course, but I wonder why no one beyond a local news station has touched this story, let alone investigated (a) whether Graham really was poisoned (and if so, by who), and (b) the story in Graham's manuscript?”
DFV ended his intrigueing mystery story with these words:
“And since Jonah Goldberg (National Review online) first highlighted this story by asking Whatever happened to the anthrax investigation (yeah, whatever DID happen to that???) -- one final question: Just how many subplots, sub plotters, co-conspirators, accomplices, go-betweens, money men, facilitators, collaborators, and confederates had a hand in the 9/11 attacks.... and how many of those still lurk stealthily somewhere in the catacombs of international intrigue?”
