Out of 50 States in the U.S. Republic, 31 States have a State Constitutional Amendment stating that the only marriage that is legal is between one man and one woman. For anyone to use the word hate for Chick-Fil-A President, Dan Cathy regarding his support for traditional marriage is over the P. C. top. The overwhelming majority of American Citizens are Christian, and therefore have the words of Jesus to define marriage:

Matthew 19:4-6 “And He answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that He which made [them] at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.”

Why is it that extremely minority religions, of which at least one calls for the destruction of Christians and Jews, are often given a pass in the press? Conversely, the inerrant word of God for Christians, The Bible, is criticized as hate speech. We love our enemies as we love all of God’s Creation, but we are not supposed to embrace their gods or culture. If Americans were not luke-warm in their Christianity, not moving past the milk stage, there would be an immense outcry at the injustice of having Homosexual and Lesbian relationships crammed down our throats, and the gentle minds of our pre-teen and teen children at school. There are no census numbers for Homosexual and Lesbian citizens, but it is widely accepted that approximately 2% of our population are gay.

It is time for American Christians, not as separate denominations that divide us, but as the Body of Christ – the Church – to stand united with all Christians who speak the Biblical truth. When in the privacy of the voting booth, the majority vote for Jesus’ definition of marriage. Once out in the P.C. world the Christian shrinks from giving an honest opinion.

Throughout our history, the legal precedent is as Jesus defined marriage in Matthew. There are out-of-control judges who have reversed the law as voted on by the citizens. The current administration and several judges have a destructive agenda for America. They understand that the only way to truly take America into any form of socialism / communism is to break our culture and our faith down. This is just one of the key activist problems Americans are facing. These same politicians and judges work to break our family structure, and our economy. Unless Christians unite now to stop the ruination of our American culture, our children and grandchildren will live in an America as economic and cultural slaves. History has proven time and again that socialism and communism do not work. Our political enemies have infiltrated our government. They have created Crony Capitalism and are selling it to America as true Capitalism. What is happening on all fronts to Americans is criminal.

I don’t know if everyone has conversations with Homosexuals and Lesbians regarding their lifestyle, or if the opportunity for candid conversation has just happened to me. I guess it would be fair to say that many people feel comfortable discussing their lives with me, not just gay people. I have learned a lot in these discussions. I would like to share a few with you . . .

A young woman overheard a discussion regarding my faith at a cocktail party. She sought me out for private conversation. She stated that the Lesbian lifestyle started out in college as a casual sexual experiment. She is very worried about the conflict of her extensive Biblical education and her lifestyle. I told her that it was something she had to reconcile with God in a one on one experience. She stated that she wanted children, and has come to realize that she did not give men a chance in her life. She couldn’t really say that she would not like a traditional marriage. This beautiful and sweet young woman is fighting a cultural battle as well as a deeply personal battle. I have prayed for her to find answers that would lead to a fulfilling life.

This young woman was troubled by the scriptures that are against Homosexuality and Lesbianality. For your reference, the following are Old Testament verses: Genesis 19 regarding the destruction of Sodom; Leviticus18:22, 24 defining laying with same sex as an abomination; Leviticus 20:13 regarding judgment; Deuteronomy 23:17-18 ditto; 1 Kings 14:22, 24 removal from the land; 1 Kings 22:42-46 ditto; 2 Kings 23:3,7 ditto. New Testament verses: 1 Corinthians 6:9 offenders among the wicked; 1 Timothy 1:9-10 Contrary to sound doctrine; Jude 1:7 remembrance of Sodom and Gomorrha.

Recently I was cornered by a person at a social gathering and put on the spot as to my opinion of her “wife.” I told her that if she felt comfortable asking me this question I would give her an honest answer. I told her that I can be her friend, and I can come to love her as one loves a sister, but I will never be able to understand her relationship with her “wife.” She seemed puzzled, so I explained further. Just as Lesbians state that they are “wired” different from heterosexuals and feel no natural attraction to the opposite sex, I am “wired” heterosexual and feel no attraction to the same sex. We will never intimately understand the sexual choice of the other. I told her that I have family members and good friends who are gay, and I love them. Our sexuality is just an area that we never discuss at length. Once, a family member became angry with me, because I would not sign a petition for gay marriage. She became angry and militant because I refused to embrace her lifestyle, and I refused to deny my faith and the inerrant word of God. I have not demanded that she deny her beliefs in order to be my loved family member, why should she expect me to deny my beliefs? We are experiencing this very unfair phenomenon on a national scale. A small segment of our population is insisting that our beliefs are hateful, and demanding that we deny Jesus’ definition of marriage. Why is anyone denying me of my religious freedom in America? This is the crux of the problem: not hate speech, but a small segment of our population demanding that Americans change their culture to accommodate their alternative life style. It is a bad proposition for the majority of Americans who are Christians.

It is interesting that this person that cornered me into what I thought about her Lesbian relationship did not really listen to what I said. It was reported to me by another person that the Lesbian person told several people that I hate gay people. This is very sad. Who in this scenario is behaving like a hater? Who is bearing false witness against her neighbor?

Another experience many years ago was with a Homosexual co-worker. He was a very nice person and we became work friends. One day he told me that he felt like a homely and slight man. He never worked up the nerve to ask women out on dates. He became lonely and decided that he would try the gay lifestyle to find love. He said that his relationships did not last very long, and he wanted to be with just one person long term. It was an opportunity to be a good listener, because I didn’t have a clue what to say to him. I showed true sympathy, and told him that he might consider counseling within his faith. He thought that might be a good idea. That company closed its doors soon after that, and everyone that worked there went their separate ways. I never knew if he found love and happiness.

I have been witness to more than one conversation regarding women switching to women because it was all about . . . wait a minute, I am trying to find the most delicate words . . . more successful sex. It is hard for me to understand anyone building a loving relationship that has sex as the main foundation. Whew! Enough said here.

I have met at least two people who state that they have been gay from birth. Once again, I cannot relate. We are born male or female. From the perspective of a heterosexual woman, it will always seem to me that we were born as God chose for each of us. I cannot relate to being anything except what God made me. I am sorry if anyone considers this hate speech. This is as honest a feeling as any human can have regarding my femininity.

I ask myself, is there a reason why throughout history successful nations go through a period of increased Homosexuality and Lesbianality before the nation falls. There is one place in the Bible that seems to explain this:

Romans 1:16 – 32 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

The people of America have ignored the part of the Bible that says for us not to take anything away from the Bible, nor add anything to it. God by way of His Holy Spirit decided the true books for the Bible. Those that are not in the Bible, God did not choose. We took God, prayer, and The Bible out of our schools. We have let men change our faith in many of our churches to accommodate sin. We have allowed idol worship in our lives. Our entertainment is full of glorifying sin. Murders, rapists, and thieves get more understanding than their victims. The First Amendment was written to prevent our government from creating one Christian religion and forcing all to belong – exactly like the Church of England that they had run from. Parents, educators, and leaders of every kind turned their backs upon God, His word, and the Judeo-Christian values that our Republic was built on. Why are we shocked that God left us to our ruination of every kind. Our society refuses to look evil straight on and call it evil.

There is tolerance for every sin and altered lifestyle in America, but the tolerance for those of us who live our Christian faith is almost nonexistent. Open tolerance in half a dozen types of media for Chick-Fil-A President, Dan Cathy, regarding his support for traditional marriage seems to be almost nonexistent. This man, who is the President of a very successful family business, who employs many Americans and treats them with respect, should be the object of American praise. What has become of Americans? Who has the right to be hateful to a man who has the opinion that Jesus’ definition of marriage is good?
