IN 2012 DEMOCRATIC OLIGARCHY

With the likelihood of a third world war on the horizon within a few short years are earlier, to elect someone like ultra-conservative Sarah Palin to the presidency would be lunacy. But I believe it will be done in spite of the likely repercussions in the aftermath that will develop as a result of such political stupidity. Events are aligning themselves carefully in 2010 as they did before the onslaught of both World War I and II. Soon we will have to face facts that America will, as well as the world, experience the use of nuclear weaponry but this time on a much broader scale that in the past. The democratic oligarchy in power in 2012 will help spur on its beginning.

The way things are going today with the rise of Sarah Palin and the Tea Party movement there is the threat in 2012 of a democratic oligarchy controlling the White House. You might not see it now but its regime is formulating right now as I write this commentary. It had pretty much formed during the latter part of President George W. Bush's administration. But the one thing that hurt its chances of fruition at that time was the mass corruption and the global economic meltdown, which unmasked massive abuse of the free enterprise system by wall-streeters and US corporations.

Chief Executive Officers, CEO's, in every industry in America can now sense the possibility of big business reacquiring the reigns of leadership over the US. But what they need are loyal figureheads like Sarah Palin or Rand Paul. Believe me the political machine focused on this viable objective by corporate giants, like the multinationals, have revved up their engines to get the movement on the road.

Sarah Palin is a strong possible harbinger or female puppet with strings attached to lead this government overthrow. But! It will not be in the name of big business folks, but in the name of democratic ineptitude. Palin knows she has a chance to upset the applecart. However she needs the financial backing to do it. That's were a deal will be struck and that's why her popularity is increasing now. She is shooting early for recognition from wealthy political action groups. Why wait? "I'll say yes to anything. Just put me in office." Is what I believe all this early campaigning is about.

President Obama as a result stands a huge chance of being in fact a one term president. Moreover, the only way to stop the Republicans from taking the White House in 2010 is by exploitation of their party factionalism and political and social insensitivity. Truth is, dumbing-down has served to strengthen the Republican onslot again. But I would have to cry foul and trumpet to prey on people's grief and sorrow, caused by the failure or unresolvable uncertainty of the business cycle is a low blow for sure. To tell people you shall turn their miserable lives around instantaneously once in office is sinful and foist, but above all it is immoral especially when you are lying.

At this point, lets take a closer look at the term oligarchy and how it is used today verses in the past. In general a democratic oligarchy is defined as a political government ruled by a few people. What is left to the discretion of society is to define the phrase 'a few people'. If I were to take a stab at it I would classify the phrase to mean CEO's, CFO's, for multinationals, while at the apex of the economic hierarchy the very rich. Billionaires such as the Getty's, Sheldon Adelson, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Larry Ellison, Alice Walton, and Michael Bloomberg to name the most famous according to Forbes. Apart from this, and operating in the background are the spearheaders of this prominent movement to take back the US government from the so-called socialists now in power will be the big banks like JP Morgan, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and US Bank, to name a few. It is obvious they have a lot to gain in my opinion by doing so, for toxic derivatives, from the failed housing industry, are to banks what trash is to someone's home.

Americans must keep in mind, earmarks are a major sign of who politicians work for and who politically they truly answer to. This grand stand by Republicans against earmarks as one of the current political financial back breakers of the country is all show. I remind you big business and Republicanism go hand-in-hand. So what you say, "Its an occurrence that traverses both aisles in the US Congress." So what you remind me again. "Everybody’s guilty of it even democrats." That's why I acknowledge, with Republicans, it's all talk.

As a centrist and capitalist I don't find Republicans on the side of the little man by any stretch of the imagination. In addition, author and journalist Upton Sinclair's book 'the Jungle' written in 1906, during the late 1950s roughly before or after the Kennedy Assassination is what the Republican party used to define their political philosophy anew after Vice President Richard Nixon lost to John F. Kennedy. Ironically, Upton's book was in defense of worker's rights in slaughterhouses not only in Chicago but throughout the US. His attack on big business was more along the lines of Marxism. But the Republican establishment at that time took this rationalism and reshaped its theme to fit their agenda as a new attack on democrat's political philosophy, whose leader ended up being Lyndon Baines Johnson, a defector of Republican ideals. As time passed, they saw themselves and their new identity for their party platform formulate into what they would soon perfect by the time Ronald Reagan, Reaganomics, won the nomination as candidate for the Presidency in the United States from 1981 to 1989. In truth, all the Republican Party has ever stood for in reality is conservatism and majoritarianism.

The notion or thought that Republicans lost their way or identity after the Bush administration was all a spiel. They were angry with themselves for discarding their constituents for lobbyist's interests, which most Republicans shared then and for the most part still do today. In addition to the fact that many Republicans were blamed in the end, during the witch-hunt in 2008 by the American public, for the guilty, and why the economy nose-dived into recession. But now they are the majority in the US House once more after only two short years. How soon Americans forget who took the food right out of their mouths.

In a politically resecured position once more, they, the Republicans, and the offshoot Tea Party movement can forthwith begin their ascent anew to power.

What is my argument all about you ask? Well, it's all about democracy. You know, the process where the people are in charge of who gets to make laws, judge laws, and execute laws. But because America is not a direct democracy like ancient Athens, the first democracy in fifth century BC, we are in contrast, an indirect democracy, our path to accountability is indirect. This means we elect representatives who share our own interests as we send them to Washington as spokespersons for us in exploitation of our beliefs and morals, and supposedly who can be trusted since we made them trustees of our social welfare when we voted for them.

Hypothetically, if Sarah Palin is the first female president we can expect foreign policy to radically change. But it will not be Palin who will be at the helm. It will be big business. Palin will only appear to be in the driver's seat. While operating behind the scenes will be the big corporations and their hidden agendas. With the internet a global source of amassing information, both true and false, this vehicle will most definitely help anyone to smoke out fraud and deceit about her experience as there will most definitely be a lot of it if Palin is at the helm. Right now though according to the Associated Press Palin's foreign policy is a failure up to 2008.

Any fool can plainly see Sarah Palin knows little about matters abroad. However she needn't worry once in office, the democratic oligarchy will take care of that. What the American people can expect to get from this doll-on-a-string is pure reassurance all is right with the world. That is to say, you will see her lips move when she gives were fire-side speeches but she won't be moving them.

The fact that she claimed she could outright beat President Obama in 2012 is an absolute display of arrogance on the part of Sarah Palin. But she should realize when you're on the outside looking in and the criticizer of someone else's performance, it's easy to say what he or she should or should not do, or what they should have done. In contrast, when you yourself are at the very same helm usually your criticisms always comes back to haunt you when faced with similar or the very same set of circumstances your opponent faced. This curse is bound to occur if Palin is made the first female President because of her arrogance. Moreover, foreign diplomats will not take her seriously I am sure. Many will be compliant but once out of sight she will go out of mind. That is to say, they will exploit their own agendas in spite of whatever agreements they might have made with a person like Sarah Palin as President, once interpersonal communication ceases after some meeting. I believe such an attitude by foreign leaders will be adopted because these leaders of less developed countries are not stupid or easily intimidated. Quite the contrary. I am sure they will know intuitively that Palin is not pulling the strings in Washington. That in fact, she is herself controlled. This mindfulness of the facts by foreign leaders will only hamper US and State Department efforts to conduct foreign policy as a non zero sum game.

What do we do then? There is no answer to this dilemma other than to avoid the election of Sarah Palin. If the masses of dumb-down Americans do what they did in 2010 in 2012, we will surely experience, overtime, this negative phenomenon I am talking about.

Will she panic when terrorism steps up its pace as a result of Palin's inexperience? Yes. In fact they will see Palin as a gift from the gods. Her stupidity on foreign policy will goad terrorist's organizations to move into hyper-operations, which will result in more Americans being killed. Insultingly, she called President Obama incompetent, but I say just turn the helm over to her and watch the insults fly right through the roof given the same time in office to make good on any promises she campaigned on.

Above all, the democratic oligarchy's sole intent would be to line their pockets with money. To continue business as usual as it was before the Obama administration. Palin will be the means to make that feat possible. The Tea Party and the Republican Party will play major roles in this objective likewise for the rich and the multinationals. They too will be looking out for their own self interests and not the interests of their constituents who will send them to Washington once more to change things for the better or commonweal. The word better in this light begs the question for whom? Under a US democratic oligarchical regime the motto will ultimately be every man for himself or corporation. As for the economy? President Palin, if elected by the electoral college in 2012, will operate with impaired vision and insight. Meaning as she concentrates on jobs and the economy the terrorists and others like the drug cartels including those who would love to see America go under, will step up assaults on this country. In this regard the US might end up with a lot of jobs to go around but hardly anyone to fill them. I sense a woman scorned. Embarrassed. A despiser of egalitarianism. A real threat to peace and stability in the region if she is elected President of the United States in 2012.

Think hard America about what you are about to do before you do it again? This time though the ramifications will be far more costly in the end for all Americans than just giving the US House a face lift. This time the costs will be human lives for sure.
