Just Say "NO"!
Join the Revolution to Restore our Constitutional Republic

The first shots are being fired today in the first battle of the the new revolutionary war to restore limitations on federal power that are demanded by our Constitution. These shots are not in the form of bullets from guns, rather, they come in the form of a massive voter repudiation of the Progressivist/Liberal/Socialist "change" that has accelerated since the election of Barack Hussein Obama and is fostered by dominating Democrat congressional majorities that brought one-party rule to Washington in 2006 and 2008.

Our Constitution, the supreme law of our republic, does not begin with the phrase, "WE THE CONGRESS" or "WE THE GOVERNMENT". It begins with, "WE THE PEOPLE". We the People are long overdue reminding career politicians (and their duplicitous aides) in Washington that they are NOT free to do as they please when it comes to making laws, creating agencies, and regulating the lives of "The People".

There has never been a mid-term election as important as today's. The People will go on record today as either tacitly endorsing the extra-constitutional actions that have typified our federal government for most of the past 100 years, or they will repudiate the ongoing unconstitutional excesses of politicians from both parties who have irresponsibly governed in Washington for as long as most living voters have been alive (we must always make allowances for those Democrat voters who have passed on but still have the patriotic will to continue voting!).

This is not an election to sit out. Don't fool yourself by believing the trite phrase, "there isn't a dime's worth of difference between the candidates." Those who believe that silliness engage in destructive self-delusion. There is a huge difference between the party of unconstitutional socialist excesses and the party (as they like to say) of "NO".

If I have one concern about "the party of NO" it is that it hasn't yet become "the party of hell NO"!

Be a proud supporter of those candidates who have run on a platform that boils down to saying "NO" to the gross excesses in Washington that have climaxed with the radical excesses of the past two years. Say "NO" to Obamacare. Say "NO" to stimulus packages that accomplish nothing other than making favored political insiders even more wealthy while saddling future generations with staggering debt and destroying existing social programs for which many Americans have paid significant taxes and have little chance of receiving any future benefits (Social Security and Medicare).

We have had two years of spend, spend, and more spending while the great engine of our economy and chief employer, private business, has been demonized, penalized, threatened with greater regulation and higher taxes. It has gotten to the point where the economy has come to a standstill and unemployment continues to creep upward. Using the processes that measured unemployment and inflation back in the late 1970s, our unemployment rate is nearer 20% than 10% and inflation is near 10% and both continue rising. Today, using new measures designed to create a more palatable appearance for these figures, the "official" numbers for joblessness and inflation are closer to 10% and 1%, figures that are not supported in the real world within which people must actually live.

Isn't it time to support those in Washington pledged to say "NO" to the insane progressivist agenda being shoved down the throats of the American people by Washington politicians? Isn't it time to say "NO" to programs with catchy names but which are a responsibility of the states and beyond the scope of authority granted our federal government?

Our nation needs to collectively shout a thunderous "NO" today by voting out of office and denying entrance to newcomers who would support the radical agenda of Barack Hussein Obama and his unconstitutional excesses. Let the radicals label opponents as members of "the party of NO". It is a privilege to be counted among those who say "NO" to the unconstitutional excesses of the Obama regime and its cohorts in Congress.

Even if you are not a Republican, join today with the "Party of NO" to register your resounding "NO" to the radical progressivist "change" that ignores constitutional restraint and tramples on the natural rights of Americans. Let's throw out the political trash that has accumulated in Washington over the years.

If the People are successful today in bringing about a massive change in the face of Congress, then the focus will shift onto Republicans who will be held accountable should they try to compromise with those who have no respect for our Constitution.

A warning to the GOP (and people like Trent Lott, Lindsey Graham, and John McCain who have facilitated the decline of the GOP): If the GOP fails to give its new voices in Congress the power they deserve and, using the appropriation power of the House, the GOP fails to defund Obamacare and begin an orderly process of shutting down unconstitutional federal agencies and programs through devolution to the states, then your party will become as irrelevant as the Democrat (-Socialist) party has become and a new party, whose candidates are dedicated to upholding the severe limitations our Constitution places on federal power, will emerge in 2012 and that party will prevail in both congressional and presidential campaigns. If you don't think that will happen, try to obstruct the will of the People by compromising with the Obama regime on Obamacare and trying to co-opt your newly-elected members of Congress.

In the end, the People will find the best means to restore our Constitutionally-limited federal system by devolving to the states programs that have no business existing at the federal level. They must, or we will have lost our constitutional republic.

To get to that end, it is essential that everyone who is disgusted with the massive regulate, demonize, blame others, and spend policies of the past several years get out and vote today and encourage all like-minded friends, neighbors, and family members to do the same. We need a massive voter turnout to thwart the plans to commit voter fraud that are routine in many urban Democrat-Socialist enclaves where recount officials are in the pockets of the Democrat-Socialists. If we can achieve pluralities of at least 10,000 votes in every contest, the ability of Democrat-Socialists to steal an election by voter and/or recount fraud (a la Al Franken in Minnesota) is significantly diminished.

Now, go vote for a return to sanity and constitutionally-limited federal government! Fire your opening shot in the revolution to restore our constitutional republic!

Then, if we do our job and vote today, after the celebrating is over get ready for 2012, 2014 and beyond. Today is just the first battle in an ongoing war that will never end. Freedom and liberty can never be taken for granted.

Biography - Bob Webster

Author of "Looking Out the Window", an evidence-based examination of the "climate change" issue, Bob Webster, is a 12th-generation descendent of both the Darte family (Connecticut, 1630s) and the Webster family (Massachusetts, 1630s). He is a descendant of Daniel Webster's father, Revolutionary War patriot Ebenezer Webster, who served with General Washington. Bob has always had a strong interest in early American history, our Constitution, U.S. politics, and law. Politically he is a constitutional republican with objectivist and libertarian roots. He has faith in the ultimate triumph of truth and reason over deception and emotion. He is a strong believer in our Constitution as written and views the abandonment of constitutional restraint by the regressive Progressive movement as a great danger to our Republic. His favorite novel is Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand and believes it should be required reading for all high school students so they can appreciate the cost of tolerating the growth of unconstitutional crushingly powerful central government. He strongly believes, as our Constitution enshrines, that the interests of the individual should be held superior to the interests of the state.

A lifelong interest in meteorology and climatology spurred his strong interest in science. Bob earned his degree in Mathematics at Virginia Tech, graduating in 1964.
