"Coward" President Obama Refuses to Address America About Benghazi

Trying desperately to keep the lid on information about the Benghazi terrorist attack on September 11 until after the election, President Obama stubbornly refuses to answer any questions about known details of the attack and why there was no deployment of troops to stop the attack that went on for more than seven hours.

We now know what it would be like to have a young brat run our government. With apologies to mature 10-year-olds, President Obama is behaving as an immature 10-year-old who has not yet learned that honesty is the best policy. While resorting to churlish campaigning in a desperate attempt to hold on to his power, at the same time Obama continues stonewalling on Benghazi-Gate as he stubbornly refuses to discuss any of the well-known material facts concerning how the White House responded to the attack on the US consular compound in Benghazi, Libya.

While Obama was recently campaigning in Colorado, an NBC reporter asked several very direct questions that should have been asked and answered forthrightly six weeks ago:

    KUSA Reporter:

  • Mr. President, let's begin with the news of the day. Were the Americans under attack at the consulate in Benghazi, Libya denied requests for help during that attack and,

  • Is it fair to tell Americans that what happened is "under investigation" and we'll all find out after the election?"

Obama's cowardly answer after a pregnant pause: "Well, ah, the, the election has nothing to do with, ah, four brave Americans getting killed and us wanting to find out exactly what happened..." (full video of the exchange here).

In his response Obama reveals it is the election with which he is preoccupied and he inadvertently ties his failure to respond with what is known about denial of aid directly to these elections. In short, Obama admits to trying to skate out this issue until after the elections.

Because congressional testimony revealed there was a live feed in real time being monitored by both the White House and State Department (video Obama refuses to provide to investigators!) and desperate requests for help went directly to the White House situation room, there is very much that is known about the denial of aid.

While every little detail of what went on in Libya may not be known, Obama certainly knows every detail of why repeated requests for aid were denied those who were under attack. If Obama doesn't know, he is a grossly incompetent Commander-in-Chief. He was there when live feeds and emails from Libya arrived, providing everything we needed to act decisively.

It is inexcusable and cowardly for the President to claim that "ongoing investigations" prevent him from revealing why aid was withheld from Americans under attack for over seven hours!

Clearly, it is President Obama who is making this an election issue by withholding information. Obama's failure to speak up is just as criminal as withholding evidence from law enforcement officers in a criminal investigation.

The people are entitled to direct, complete, and honest answers to the KUSA reporter's questions. Such information is essential for the people to make an informed choice of who should be their Commander-in-Chief for the next four years.

Obama's stubborn refusal to answer to this fiasco serves only to lead reasonable people to believe he is guilty of having denied the desperately needed aid, directly being the cause of at least two of the deaths in Benghazi.

The US news media who are embargoing all news about the White House's denial of aid to those under attack in Libya, as willing accomplices to Obama's stonewalling, are just as guilty as is Obama.

The father of Tyrone Woods, one of those who would still be alive today had Obama decisively ordered a response at the first knowledge of the attack, made this fitting comment on Obama's stonewalling this issue until after the election:

"It's better to die the life of a hero than it is to live the life of a coward."

Tyrone Woods died a hero.

Barack Obama and much of the US news media are living the life of a coward.

We, the people, can do much better with our choice of the next Commander-in-Chief. We can also chose more wisely who we trust to provide honest and complete news reporting.

Biography - Bob Webster

Author of "Looking Out the Window", an evidence-based examination of the "climate change" issue, Bob Webster, is a 12th-generation descendent of both the Darte family (Connecticut, 1630s) and the Webster family (Massachusetts, 1630s). He is a descendant of Daniel Webster's father, Revolutionary War patriot Ebenezer Webster, who served with General Washington. Bob has always had a strong interest in early American history, our Constitution, U.S. politics, and law. Politically he is a constitutional republican with objectivist and libertarian roots. He has faith in the ultimate triumph of truth and reason over deception and emotion. He is a strong believer in our Constitution as written and views the abandonment of constitutional restraint by the regressive Progressive movement as a great danger to our Republic. His favorite novel is Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand and believes it should be required reading for all high school students so they can appreciate the cost of tolerating the growth of unconstitutional crushingly powerful central government. He strongly believes, as our Constitution enshrines, that the interests of the individual should be held superior to the interests of the state.

A lifelong interest in meteorology and climatology spurred his strong interest in science. Bob earned his degree in Mathematics at Virginia Tech, graduating in 1964.
