S. Fred Singer, Ph.D. Biography
S. Fred Singer is an internationally known climate physicist known for his work on climate, energy, and environmental issues. Singer is Professor Emeritus of environmental sciences at the University of Virginia. He is president of The Science & Environmental Policy Project (SEPP), a non-profit policy research group he founded in 1990.
Dr. Singer was first director of the U.S. National Weather Satellite Service, and served five years as vice chairman of the U.S. National Advisory Committee on Oceans and Atmospheres.
He is author and editor of numerous books dealing with global warming and climate change issues.
Dr. Singer's undergraduate studies were at Ohio State University and he received his PhD in Physics from Princeton University.
