AMNESTY WORSE THAN FEARED

The gang of eight has sent us a message. The message is ... it's worse than feared. Consisting of 844 pages, the Senate Immigration bill has more give-a-ways than you can imagine.

The gang of eight has sent us a message. The message is ... it's worse than feared.

Consisting of 844 pages, the Senate Immigration bill has more give-a-ways than you can imagine.

Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Texas) weighs in: "It's hard to believe, but the Senate Immigration bill is worse than we thought. Despite assurances, the border is not secured before almost everyone in the country illegally is given amnesty. The bill guarantees there will be a rush across the border to take advantage of massive amnesty."

"And the Senate proposal offers amnesty to far more illegal immigrants than thought. In addition to most of the 11 million illegal immigrants already in the country [actually 35 million or more], the bill offers to legalize the relatives of illegal immigrants outside and the U.S. and even others who have already been deported back home. So current immigration laws are shredded."

The DHS has FIVE YEARS to meet the 90% apprehension rate. If it doesn't meet that standard, a Border Commission will be created. And, who will determine the standard. Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano. Napolitano is adamant about the border, saying that the border is as secure as its even been. She is busily freeing illegal aliens before the fact. She is not going to make anyone go home if she can help it.

Rubio said on January 29, 2013:

"If, in fact, this bill does not have real triggers in there, if there is not language in this bill that guarantees that nothing else will happen unless these enforcement mechanisms are in place, I won't support it."

Rubio's Border Commission is nothing more than an advisory committee for the President, DHS Secretary and members of Congress.

The bill is out, and it legalizes most of the 11-18, actually 30 million or more, illegals before any enforcement provisions kick in. Rubio doesn't deny it.

ObamaPhone has a provision for free phones for the SW region emergency. Some call it RubioPhones.

It is a $50 million taxpayer funded assistance for illegal aliens. Our economy is bad, but they want to take from hard working Americans, and give the illegals even more.

As far as the 11-18 million illegals, that is an estimate. It is in fact much closer to 30 million. Nobody knows how many illegals are here now. Nobody has been counting them. A "pig in a poke" comes to mind. Do you think we should know how many illegals are in the country, before we open the floodgates.

Tom Tancredo:

"The political reaction to the horrific news out of Boston should serve to alert Americans to this unpleasant fact: Sens. Schumer, Rubio and other members of the 'Gang of Eight' have different priorities. Most citizens will be shocked to find out that the bill this 'Gang' introduced this past week, S. 744, actually makes it easier, not more difficult, to enter the United States illegally and then obtain legal status and citizenship."

Tancredo continues:

"The Schumer-Rubio amnesty bill has weaker border security provisions than the 2007 amnesty bill and the 2006 Secure Fence Act passed by Congress. It grants nearly immediate amnesty to the 11 to 20 million illegal aliens without any improvements in border security - only a promise of a 'strategy' for border security to be announced by DHS Secretary Napolitano. It will allow foreign nationals not even residing in the U. S. to gain legal status by piggybacking on the amnesty bestowed on illegal aliens who are here already. And, it adopts a weaker entry-exit monitoring for our airports, seaports and land ports-of-entry than already mandated in current law."

The U. S. Chamber of Commerce and the AFL-CIO have ironed out their differences. D. A. King weighs in: "Who has been negotiating the terms of the promises - including E-Verify - necessary to slide another legalization swindle past the American people? One of the 'stake holders' is the U. S. Chamber of Commerce. The same people who used their enormous lobbying power to stop E-Verify from being mandatory at its inception. The same Chamber of Commerce that sued multiple times in federal court to stop the requirement that E-Verify be mandatory on federal contracts. The same Chamber of Commerce that went all the way to the Supreme Court to stop the E-Verify mandate in Arizona".

How many benefits will the illegals get? Once the illegal aliens receive green cards, they will be able to qualify for a vast array of benefits such as Social Security, welfare, Medicaid, Medicare, and even subsidized Obamacare. The cost? Trillions, not billions.

What do the unemployed millions of foreign American workers get? They will have to get in line and compete with the illegal aliens. And, do the benefits compare with those in the above mentioned column?

It is coming down to a question of knowing whether the border is safe. Rubio says it is. Enter the cartels. Jack Riley, head of the Drug Enforcement Administration's Chicago, told the AP that today the push for the drug supply is "probably the most serious threat the United States has faced from organized crime". Riley also said "People think, the border's 1,700 miles away. This isn't our problem. Well, it is. These days we operate as if Chicago is on the border".

Obama, Janet Napolitano, and Rubio assures us the border is secure. They want amnesty. Rubio tells us not to call it amnesty. Rubio ... if it isn't amnesty, then what is it?
