Voters: Scrutinize Instead of Swallow Obama Lies.
Hawaiian emailer: "I'm a Catholic too, and utterly frustrated by the nuns at the school where I teach, because they are dyed-in-the-wool democrats (which describes most of Hawaii's population) and they simply have a blind spot to Obama. We recently had a presentation from a guy from Chaminade University down the road, talking about voting for the right person, and although he never came out and said so, it was clear that he was biased in favor of Obama. How is it possible that the Catholic church/clergy cannot differentiate between someone who stands for preserving a culture of life and someone who is utterly indifferent to it? Who will simply vote pro-choice on anything to win the liberal vote? We were told to make a list for each candidate, on where they stood on various social issues, and that the longer list (hint, hint: Obama's) would clearly be the one to go for. Is it just me or has the church, to a large extent, lost its way? It scares me that in the name of social justice, theologians are going further and further left. I am scared, there is such a strong current bearing to the left without any depth of knowledge as to what they are doing, and I don't mean to be arrogant in saying this. I can't help wondering if we are approaching living the hellish scenes revealed to the children at Fatima, or am I being a pessimist? I do believe that the power of prayer can change the course of destiny, but we then need everyone on their knees fast. Maybe the economic crisis, which I believe is going to get a lot worse, esp. if Israel strikes Iran, and I'm convinced it is going to happen - they have their back against the wall - will bring people to their spiritual senses. I thought that would happen after 9/11 - it seemed so promising then!"
America has enemies at home as well as abroad and apathy and ignorance must be overcome with the truth.
"Obama has been up front about who he is." --Bill O'Reilly, in an argument with Laura Ingraham on "The O'Reilly Factor."
WRONG, Bill. Fortunately, Laura knows better.
Far Left Democrats realized that they needed a financial crisis in order to rule, especially after The Surge urged by McCain worked and refuted the claim of Senate Democrat Majority Leader Harry Reid that the war in Iraq had been "lost."
The usual undermining of confidence in the fundamentals of the American economy that came from the Democrats since George W. Bush became President was not enough.
Will the great financial crisis that occurred right after McCain took the lead in the polls be enough?
Are you really surprised?
Do you think it is sheer coincidence?
Are you hopelessly dense?
You should have been following "Doug the Tech."
The groundwork for disaster had been laid by the Democrats earlier, with the Community Redevelopment Act, ACORN, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and, of course, Congressional Democrats blocking Republican efforts to put Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac under United States Treasury Department supervision.
Let's be realistic: McCain won't win the presidential himself.
Others must win it for him, for America's sake.
And there are other who have done and are doing what they can.
The person who taped Obama denigrating Americans for supposedly clinging to God and guns out of bitterness over their personal economic circumstances performed a valuable public service for America.
"Joe the Plumber" recently asked the right question to Obama on a rope line.
Joe: "Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn't it?"
O: "It's not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they've got a chance for success too. My attitude is that if the economy's good for folks from the bottom up, it's gonna be good for everybody ... I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."
Obama is a superb tele-prompter reader, but on that rope line he slipped and said that under him taxes would be used to "spread the wealth."
Obama wants to be an African-American Huey Long.
Wikipedia: "In February, 1934, Senator Huey Long announced during a nationwide radio address that he was forming the Share Our Wealth Society, dedicated to the redistribution of the nation's wealth. Long had originally been a supporter of the New Deal policies of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, but starting with the formation of the Share Our Wealth Society, began advocating for more radical reforms that Roosevelt wasn't willing to embrace. He claimed considerable support across America, boasting that the 'Share our Wealth' movement had over 27,000 branches and nearly 7.5 million members. He also intended to stand against Roosevelt as a third party candidate in the election of 1936 and could have seriously damaged Roosevelt's chance of re-election by splitting the Democratic vote."
"Doug the Tech" was not surprised by the financial crisis or deceived by Obama lies.
Doug Edelman, March 18, 2008 (http://edeldoug.blogs.com/thoughts_rants_raves_and_/2008/03/meltdown.html
"MELTDOWN!
"The sky is falling! Our economy is collapsing! It’s fiscal Armageddon!
"Well, that’s the perception out there, anyway. And THAT’s scary – because when the public is in a panic, the Government feels it has to DO something. And we all know that the most dangerous words you can hear are, 'I’m from the Government, and I’m here to help.'
"Unfortunately, there is a fundamental disconnect with economic reality which is inherent in Government.
"When the economy slows, the first response has been for the Fed to lower interest rates. Great. All that does is encourage the assumption of more debt!
"Then, when things get bad enough, they put together an election year 'stimulus package' to 'rebate' some tax money. Teriffic. Then the federal government goes further into debt to mail out checks which people use up in a month or 2. It might gain a few incumbents some additional votes, but doesn’t really help the economy fundamentally.
"What people don’t realize, and the Government knows but won’t say, is that the entire economic structure of the US is a house of cards built on IOUs. That dollar bill in your pocket isn’t even MONEY… it’s a promise to pay… and IOU… a Federal Reserve (promissory) NOTE. Since we left the gold-standard, our currency is backed by nothing except the credit rating of the Fed! The Fed isn’t even a Government agency… it’s a PRIVATE organization! The Federal Reserve creates currency out of nothing, and LENDS it to the government AT INTEREST! Talk about a bubble doomed to pop at some point!
"Then the Fed loans money to banks, at interest. They loan money to the public, at interest. They’re all making a profit (as long as the money itself is perceived to have value!).
"But the rest of the world is starting to shun the US dollar in favor of other currencies. On the worldwide market, the dollar’s value is declining.
"Concurrently, our Helpful Government noticed a few years back, that many minority folk were not qualifying for mortgage loans. Of course this was a factor of their credit worthiness – and not of their ethnicities… but our Helpful Government was not satisfied with the fact that some people can’t AFFORD a mortgage. They insisted that the financial markets find ways to get more of these 'less than qualified' individuals into home-ownership. And so was born the 'sub-prime mortgage' market. We all know what happens when you squeeze someone with minimal credit worthiness into a house they can barely afford at introductory rates which will adjust upward!"
Doug's point about creditworthiess is right, not racist, and in "spreading the wealth," Obama would destroy the American economy in order to pay off his base.
Doug's bio: "I'm a fulltime Techie with part-time Computer Services business on the side. Have taught PC repair and Networking at local community college. I am also a contributing editor at www.theconservativevoice.com, and I am regularly published on News By Us, The American Daily, The Post-Chronicle, Capitol Hill Coffeehouse, The Rant and others. I have been told that I write well... so I hope to keep readers interested - or at least not bored! Though I will post random thoughts on most any subject, most postings will relate to current events or politics. You can also expect occasional postings on technical issues."
In addition to astute economic analysis, Doug actually read Obama's autobiography.
Doug particularly noted these revealing Obama statements:
"I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites."
"I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race."
"There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white."
"It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names."
"I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa, that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela."
"To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist Professors and the structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets."
That was Obama's path to the presidency of The Harvard Law Review, but it must not be his path to the Presidency of the United States of America.

He has written extensively on political and religious issues, notably the Terry Schiavo case, the Duke "no rape" case, ACORN and canon law, and appeared as a guest on television and radio. He was acknowledged in Until Proven Innocent, by Stuart Taylor and KC Johnson, and Culture of Corruption, by Michelle Malkin. He appeared on "Your World With Cavuto" to promote an eBay boycott that he initiated and "The World Over With Raymond Arroyo" (EWTN) to discuss the legal implications of the Schiavo case. On October 22, 2008, Gaynor was the first to report that The New York Times had killed an Obama/ACORN expose on which a Times reporter had been working with ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief.
