The Lesson About the Liberal Media Establishment From the Van Jones Resignation
Let's uncover and spread the whole truth about Obama, not just his appointees!
Vile "Green Jobs" "Czar" Anthony "Van" Jones dutifully resigned over the Labor Day weekend, hoping to protect fellow radical President Obama by putting an end to all the drama over Obama's appointment of Jones and to change the subject from how a person as radical as Jones could have been appointed a special adviser to the President to something else.
The Obama administration's notion of hope and change!
Sadly, folks who get their news from the liberal media establishment either don't know about Jones.
Feel sorry for Jones?
When Obama promised to bring us together, he meant avowed Communists like Jones who called Republicans "assholes" and joined the nuts claiming that the Bush administration was complicit in the September 11 attacks would receive key presidential appointments, right?
The Obama administration will deny that, claiming it never knew, but either it knew or didn't want to know, since the information is readily findable and any competent vetting would have included?
Valerie Jarrett was videotaped saying she'd been following Jones for many years. What did she know and when did she know it?
The best Team Obama can hope for is to perceived as incompetent.
But the Obama presidential campaign WAS highly competent.
Read Michelle Malkin's No. 1 best selling book five weeks running--Culture of Corruption: Obama and His Team of Tax Cheats, Crooks, and Cronies--and learn disconcerting truth.
Jones did not have to receive Senate confirmation, so he surely would still be a presidential appointee if he and his friends had not urged a sponsor boycott of "Beck."
From the Chicago Tribune:
"'On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me,' Jones said in his resignation statement. 'They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide.'
"Jones said he has been 'inundated with calls from across the political spectrum urging me to stay and fight.'
"But he said he cannot in good conscience ask his colleagues to spend time and energy defending or explaining his past."
What a guy!
Just like President Obama, the man depicts himself as noble as he tells the world a blatant lie about the extent of his relationship with ACORN in the last presidential debate.
Jones was forced to resign because the truth about him became generally known, NOT because others used "lies and distortions to distract and divide."
Glenn Beck had already done some exposing of the ugly truth about Jones, but after sponsors yielded to the pressure to boycott, Beck and concerned Americans looked deeper and Jones became another Obama ally who had to go, in the troubling tradition of Obama spiritual mentor Rev. Jeremiah A. "God damn America" Wright.
Like Rev. Wright, Jones had the ugly truth, shown in video of himself, to blame, NOT "lies and distortions to distract and divide."
But for the new media and Fox News, he would not have resigned.
THAT is the key truth all patriotic Americans need to appreciate.
"Radio Patriot" Andrea Shea King:
"The mighty Van Jones is OUT! And the mainstream media missed this story completely. Look back at the NYT, and the rest of the mainstream media and ask yourself how they could miss this developing story? Could it be because they deliberately did not report on this? Gosh, they were just doing their job and this story just popped up and surprised them? 'Oh my gawd, look what just happened. How did we miss that?'
"Well, The New Media didn't miss it. In fact, The New Media is what brought this out. Again, doing the job that the legacy media refuses to do. Reminding you of my earlier post this week quoting Byron York:
Total words about the Van Jones controversy in the New York Times: 0.
Total words about the Van Jones controversy in the Washington Post: 0.
Total words about the Van Jones controversy on NBC Nightly News: 0.
Total words about the Van Jones controversy on ABC World News: 0.
Total words about the Van Jones controversy on CBS Evening News: 0.
"'If you were to receive all your news from any one of these outlets, or even all of them together, and you heard about some sort of controversy involving President Obama's Special Adviser for Green Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, your response would be, 'Huh?'
"If you heard that that adviser, Van Jones, had apologized for a number of remarks and positions in the recent past, your response would be, 'What?"
"And if you were in the Obama White House monitoring the Jones situation, you would be hoping that the news organizations listed above continue to hold the line -- otherwise, Jones, who is quite well thought of in Obama circles, would be history."
Like the ugly truth about Jones, the liberal media establishment ignored The New York Times killing an Obama/ACORN expose before the last election day.
Search the names of ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief and the attorney who represented the Pennsylvania Republican Party in a suit against ACORN last October and you will learn that neither of them was mentioned until this year, AFTER Bill O'Reilly reported the story and played a voicemail left for Ms. MonCrief by New York Times national correspondent Stephanie Strom confirming it.
Ms. MonCrief and Ms. Heidelbaugh were mentioned in two op-eds by New York Times public editor Clark Hoyt designed to defend The New York Times.
What they had to say was NOT what The New York Times wanted in play.
Having Jones resigned is good, of course.
"Radio Patriot" is looking forward to others following.
"Radio Patriot":
"Next up: Jeff Jones. Mark Lloyd. Cass Sunstein, Carol Browner, and John Holdren. And when we're done exposing them, we'll go after the rest of Obama's unsavory accomplices. Kudos to Glenn Beck and his team of researchers for asking the questions, to World Net Daily's Aaron Klein, and all the bloggers who are doing the work the mainstream media used to do.
"Gear up people. This is just the first victory. Focus and keep the pressure on Obama and his commie buds. Push, push, push."
That too would be good, because there are more Obama appointees unfit for their offices in the Obama administration. But let's focus on the person who made their appointments--President Obama.
The liberal media establishment did not scrutinize Obama last year and some covered up for him.
Let's uncover and spread the whole truth about Obama, not just his appointees!
That way the danger Obama poses to American will be reduced.
Michael J. Gaynor has been practicing law in New York since 1973. A former partner at Fulton, Duncombe & Rowe and Gaynor & Bass, he is a solo practitioner admitted to practice in New York state and federal courts and an Association of the Bar of the City of New York member.
Gaynor graduated magna cum laude, with Honors in Social Science, from Hofstra University's New College, and received his J.D. degree from St. John's Law School, where he won the American Jurisprudence Award in Evidence and served as an editor of the Law Review and the St. Thomas More Institute for Legal Research. He wrote on the Pentagon Papers case for the Review and obscenity law for The Catholic Lawyer and edited the Law Review's commentary on significant developments in New York law.
The day after graduating, Gaynor joined the Fulton firm, where he focused on litigation and corporate law. In 1997 Gaynor and Emily Bass formed Gaynor & Bass and then conducted a general legal practice, emphasizing litigation, and represented corporations, individuals and a New York City labor union. Notably, Gaynor & Bass prevailed in the Second Circuit in a seminal copyright infringement case, Tasini v. New York Times, against newspaper and magazine publishers and Lexis-Nexis. The U.S. Supreme Court affirmed, 7 to 2, holding that the copyrights of freelance writers had been infringed when their work was put online without permission or compensation.
Gaynor currently contributes regularly to www.MichNews.com, www.RenewAmerica.com, www.WebCommentary.com, www.PostChronicle.com and www.therealitycheck.org and has contributed to many other websites. He has written extensively on political and religious issues, notably the Terry Schiavo case, the Duke "no rape" case, ACORN and canon law, and appeared as a guest on television and radio. He was acknowledged in Until Proven Innocent, by Stuart Taylor and KC Johnson, and Culture of Corruption, by Michelle Malkin. He appeared on "Your World With Cavuto" to promote an eBay boycott that he initiated and "The World Over With Raymond Arroyo" (EWTN) to discuss the legal implications of the Schiavo case. On October 22, 2008, Gaynor was the first to report that The New York Times had killed an Obama/ACORN expose on which a Times reporter had been working with ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief.
