Fortunately, thank God, there's Ms. MonCrief, whom Team Obama rues and who's provided Beck's clues. (Who did you think researched and wrote a detailed report on ACORN and the Sandlers long before Beck "discovered" them and posted the announcement of ACORN's 39th anniversary gala that Beck in turn publicized and had Griff Jenkins cover for him?)
Anita Dunn and Anita MonCrief both live in the D.C. area.
Both are interested in politics and communications.
Neither has been interviewed by Glenn Beck.
But these Anitas are very different in critical respects.
Ms. Dunn is a Far Left Democrat and a key Obama Administration apologist.
Ms. MonCrief is an ex-radical feared by both the Obama Adminstration and ACORN since Ms. MonCrief publicly became a whistleblower and a voluntary witness in a case against ACORN last October and even more since she became an ex-radical this year.
Why are the Obama Administration and ACORN (and others) afraid of Ms. MonCrief.
Briefly, Ms. MonCrief tells the truth and is aware of the corrupt relationship between ACORN and the Obama presidential campaign and President Obama's history with ACORN (about which he lied to win the Presidency).
See "Why Obama and ACORN Fear Anita MonCrief" (October 29, 2008) (http://www.webcommentary.com/php/ShowArticle.php?id=gaynorm&date=081029), which begins: "Anita MonCrief is likeable as well as brave, bright, young, maternal, passionate, artistic and black. But now ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) and the Obama campaign need to destroy her because Anita's not an ACORN slave and Anita decided to reveal what ACORN and the Obama campaign want to conceal."
Last October, Ms. MonCrief still was radical (even though she had revealed some ugly truth about ACORN and the Obama presidential campaign).
On Election Day 2008, she hopefully voted for the candidate promising hope and change.
But her faith in candidate Obama was misplaced. The Obama presidency turned out not to be what she thought it would be, so she shed shackles and came forward even more boldly.
Ms. Dunn has been mentioned many times on Fox News this week.
Beck refers to Ms. Dunn as "Anita" and took to addressing her via his television show this week. (Don't expect her to answer.)
What did Ms. Dunn do to attract the attention of Fox News and Beck?
She announced that the Obama Administration would treat Fox News as "an opponent."
Who is Anita Dunn?
An unrepentant Far Left Democrat.
From Wikipedia:
"Anita Dunn is the interim White House Communications Director.Previously, she was a Democratic political consultant with a Washington-based consulting firm, Squier Knapp Dunn Communications, and was a top adviser to Barack Obama's presidential campaign.
"Biography
"Dunn began her career in the Carter White House, first as an intern for White House Communications Director Gerald Rafshoon and then worked for chief of staff Hamilton Jordan. She worked on the campaign of Senator John Glenn (D-OH), and on Capitol Hill before joining the firm founded by Bob Squier and Bill Knapp in 1993. She has been the top adviser to Senator Bill Bradley (D-NJ), including serving as the chief strategist for his presidential campaign, Senator Evan Bayh (D-IN), and former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D-SD). She was hired by then-Senator Barack Obama in 2006 to direct communications and strategy for his political action committee, The Hopefund. This move signaled to many that Obama was nearing a run for the presidency. While advising Hopefund and Obama in 2006, she was instrumental in the preparations for the launch of Obama for America, and brought many key staffers to the Obama campaign with whom she had worked in Bayh or Daschle's offices.
"Obama campaign
"In April 2008, it was announced that Dunn, who had joined the Obama campaign in February, would be the director of communications, policy and research operations for Obama for America, where she held the title Senior Adviser and was one of the major decision makers of the Obama campaign. She was featured as one of four top advisers (along with David Axelrod, David Plouffe, and Robert Gibbs) in a 60 Minutes interview held after President-elect Obama's November 4, 2008 victory speech at Grant Park, Chicago, Illinois. She was described, in the 60 Minutes interview, as, 'a relative newcomer who handled communications, research and policy.' During the presidential transition of 2008-09, Dunn trained White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs.
"Personal life
"She is married to the President's personal lawyer, Robert Bauer, a partner at Perkins Coie who has been the general counsel of Obama for America since January 2007. They reside in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Newsweek named Dunn and Bauer the new 'power couple' in Washington, D.C. in 2008."
Anita MonCrief is no Anita Dunn.
Her days on and with the Far Left are...done.
From www.anitamoncreif.blogspot.com:
"About Me
"I attended the University of Alabama where I majored in political science and history. I was one of the founding members of the Alabama Model United Nations. The team I led was ranked in the Top Ten in the Southeast. I have even traveled to Canada to promote understanding of the United Nations System. I began my advocacy and human rights career as intern for the American Bar Association Central European and Eurasian Law Initiative (ABA CEELI), where I assisted with the creation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights Assessment Index. In 2002, I partnered with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe on their mission to Macedonia as an election observer. I have also worked with the International Crisis Group and the Grameen Foundation. In 2005, I joined the Strategic Writing and Research Department of ACORN Political Operations and its affiliate Project Vote. In 2008 I came forward to expose the damage that ACORN has done to the impoverished and marginalized communities, as well as its rampant voter fraud, and gained notoriety as the ACORN whistle blower."
"Notoriety" among the Far Left, celebrity among traditional Americans.
Is there hope for Ms. Dunn to change HER views?
Don't count on it. Fortunately, thank God, there's Ms. MonCrief, whom Team Obama rues and who's provided Beck's clues. (Who did you think researched and wrote a detailed report on ACORN and the Sandlers long before Beck "discovered" them and first posted the announcement of ACORN's 39th anniversary gala that Beck in turn publicized and had Griff Jenkins cover for him?)
Michael J. Gaynor has been practicing law in New York since 1973. A former partner at Fulton, Duncombe & Rowe and Gaynor & Bass, he is a solo practitioner admitted to practice in New York state and federal courts and an Association of the Bar of the City of New York member.
Gaynor graduated magna cum laude, with Honors in Social Science, from Hofstra University's New College, and received his J.D. degree from St. John's Law School, where he won the American Jurisprudence Award in Evidence and served as an editor of the Law Review and the St. Thomas More Institute for Legal Research. He wrote on the Pentagon Papers case for the Review and obscenity law for The Catholic Lawyer and edited the Law Review's commentary on significant developments in New York law.
The day after graduating, Gaynor joined the Fulton firm, where he focused on litigation and corporate law. In 1997 Gaynor and Emily Bass formed Gaynor & Bass and then conducted a general legal practice, emphasizing litigation, and represented corporations, individuals and a New York City labor union. Notably, Gaynor & Bass prevailed in the Second Circuit in a seminal copyright infringement case, Tasini v. New York Times, against newspaper and magazine publishers and Lexis-Nexis. The U.S. Supreme Court affirmed, 7 to 2, holding that the copyrights of freelance writers had been infringed when their work was put online without permission or compensation.
Gaynor currently contributes regularly to www.MichNews.com, www.RenewAmerica.com, www.WebCommentary.com, www.PostChronicle.com and www.therealitycheck.org and has contributed to many other websites. He has written extensively on political and religious issues, notably the Terry Schiavo case, the Duke "no rape" case, ACORN and canon law, and appeared as a guest on television and radio. He was acknowledged in Until Proven Innocent, by Stuart Taylor and KC Johnson, and Culture of Corruption, by Michelle Malkin. He appeared on "Your World With Cavuto" to promote an eBay boycott that he initiated and "The World Over With Raymond Arroyo" (EWTN) to discuss the legal implications of the Schiavo case. On October 22, 2008, Gaynor was the first to report that The New York Times had killed an Obama/ACORN expose on which a Times reporter had been working with ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief.
